I cant believe it's coming up on a year since we lost a true angel my thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends I'm so thankful that your videos are still here to save lives you are missed by so many and you will never be forgotten. I'm 60 days clean after 15 years on pain pills and I credit it to God and ryan. Even in death you are still saving people's lives

I am 7 years sober from a pain pill addiction. I really identified with the subject of this video. Before sobriety, I used to watch people around me laugh and play. I would think to myself, "How can they be so happy without the aid of drugs?" I was extremely envious of these people. I wasn't sure I would regain the joy in my life. Then one day my husband cracked a joke and I laughed till I had tears in my eyes. He looked at me and said, "there it is...your joy is back". Indeed it was and it was the best feeling in the world. I'm still laughing...

1st of all I love your involvement with this addiction !, I was on morphine pain managment for 23 years, ( ie. From 1992 till 2015), reached 700mg. A day, for the last 9+ years of my life, ( all Rx legal), workers comp claim, no black mkt. Drugs! I finally reached my end days with it, ( ie. Lost my wife of 34 years, she finally had enough, tough woman, Huh!), took me 1 year ( on my own, no help) to get down to 60 mg per day, ( all changes youve noted in your vids have come to pass) a rough ride, too say the least!, im 69 yrs old., im still going on, but it changes as the time goes on, ( all aches and pains are back, but my head is so much clearer, thats a blessing in itself.), still not back to the ole me., dern-it!, looking ahead for whats next for me! Ps. I did this to myself, no one else to blame!!, thought i was doing great, HaHa,LoL, anyway, just thought id share my trials. ( want to join life again, ( laugh, have goals, look forewards to life.) Still in progress. Did not think it would take so long. ( fooled me, HuH), keep up your great work, its needed and looked foreward to by many, im sure!, Thank You, Gary

Im sorry you're in this situation. Even if you left she wont stop. She's the only one that can do it if SHE wants to you cant convince her. I'm gonna assume you do realise that but wanted some hope. To be honest you cant even convince yourself to stop for the most part. Maybe pray for her every day twice a day. Sidenote : I personally wouldnt trust a woman with a heroin addiction to be faithful to you. Its a cold truth Ive experienced so have others. All the best.

XANDER ANNOMUS I have the exact same situation that you do. Except mine was taking opiates to mask my symptoms of ADHD which affects your life and can cause anxiety and depression. A lot of people wouldn’t recommend it but you may need a stimulant based medication which helps with all 3. ADHD, Anxiety an depression
@hillarymodem3151
@hillarymodem3151 5 лет назад
XANDER ANNOMUS I was in the same boat. Can’t take antidepressants because they shut my bladder down, I do use prescribed Xanax for my anxiety but only if I’m going into panic attack mode. If u feel u can’t handle a benzo, there’s also blood pressure meds that will help with the anxiety. I did read that their opening Ketamine clinics for depression, anxiety, pain and PTSD. In Iowa they don’t take insurance and it’s 5-800 an infusion. If you don’t think it will jeopardize your recovery, might be an option. In the mean time, St Johns Wart makes a natural otc antidepressant, that may work for u? I’m on a low dose of painkillers, which does help and hypothyroidism meds but I definitely still battle with the depression. I try to watch things about people with terminal illness or a documentary about the holocaust because these people really wanted to live and I try to feel greatful for having life and not taking it for granted. I want it to be a chapter in my past that I can move on from and make a new life, not be constantly reminded what a fck up I was but it’s hard to think that way when you feel so crappy you can’t even get in the shower! Good luck

This is the exact thing I've been thinking about lately. This is day 33 for me clean of doing a couple hundred milligrams a day of snorting oxycodone for five years straight with no breaks at all. The last few days have been filled with strong cravings for this reason cause the lack of energy and depression have become very strong. I'm really wondering when I'm gonna feel good about waking up in the morning. I'm doing as well as I can with my eating and sleeping habits. And my sex drive is gone and the Insomia is killin me. I haven't been able to sleep next to my GF through this entire period and its getting to be a real drag on her and me. My doctor just cleared me today to do some exercising cause my heart was all out of wack cause I'm going through alcohol withdrawal on top of it. Any tips on trying to get good sleep and on a good pattern would be well appreciated. I just don't know what to do about that right now. I know its adding to my chronic fatigue I'm experiencing right now. Kinda going crazy. Any advice would be great right now
