I love these digestion ones, Melissa. Thank you. I have dinner in the evening, after a long day, and I feel like I should go for a walk next, but I’m often too tired. This yoga helps me feel much better i go to bed.
I am resting in a sea of nourishment. Thank you so much Melissa. That was a beautiful practice. My IBS has flared up today, I’m also suffering DOMS from my workout program. This has helped with both of those things. Thank you.
I'm resting in a sea of nourishment. Thank you...Thank you...Thank you Melissa. I so appreciate that you teach me to use my props which allow me to feel a pose when my body could not otherwise enjoy it. Namaste!
I’m resting in a sea of nourishment 🙏🌈 thank you Melissa .. as usual a great class and very informative which I love , the information that you give helps me to connect to my body and its rhythms even more ... I have a headache at the moment and when I was choosing what class to do I was in mind of that so this was perfect as strangely enough you mentioned headaches a few times . Much gratitude Tracey 🧘♀️
isn't it funny how the teacher seems to know what you need? even more odd that it happens with recorded classes :) do hope the headache dissipated Tracey :) namaste
I’m resting in a sea of nourishment. I looked for a video of yours to help with the awful heartburn I’ve had all day. This really helped! Thank you so much ❤️
I am resting in a sea of nourishment. I have just discovered you beautiful yin yoga which is perfect during Covid 19 . Your classes are so full of love and I also learn so much throughout the hour . I live on an Island south of mainland Australia and we are moving through Autumn so this liver and spleen class was perfect . Thank you Mellisssa, namaste xx
Lately, I was tsunamied by the sea of nourishment and my digestion was not able to keep up. This class came at the right moment. Thank you! I keep holding Nikki in my thoughts and hope our support will help her 💚💛💙
I’m resting in a sea of nourishment. I’ve had a day and a half of some digestive distress. I did my Qi Gong for Digestion practice and paired it with this practice. Wow! I feel like a million bucks ✨ It’s funny and humbling to feel the effects of our own teachings ❤️ to you and yours.
I'm resting in a sea of nourishment. Great class! Sending prayers for comfort to our sister NIkki. Thank you Melissa for your caring thoughtful leadership. It's a pleasure to be a part of a community that actively practices love and compassion. Namaste

I’m resting in a sea of nourishment! Thank you for this video. I woke up with diarrhea and felt just gross physically and emotionally. This practice brought me back to peace in my body and emotions and I truly feel so much better. I deeply appreciate your work!
Thank you very much for the class. I am not dealing with constipation but the opposite. I hope this helps me. Are there any other videos you can recommend? Thank you very much. Namaste.
Thank you Melissa, that was a beautiful practice. I am resting in a sea of nourishment. And you sure look radiant for someone with a cold. I know you got better because this video is over 3 1/2 years old and I have been doing your more recent videos. 😂 Thanks for posting yin yoga to youtube. I know thee videos aren't the same as a room full of students, however, I for one, am grateful for these practices. Getting to a yoga class is a bit of a chore nowadays. Namaste'
Me too...quite a few people have found me in the last few days...I really appreciate you taking the time to say hello Jo and leave your comments :) namaste
I am resting in a sea 🌊 of nourishment 😊 I love this one! It is so calming. I wonder if it would help my digestion if I did this a few times a week. I think I will try that. I have Multiple Sclerosis so my digestive nerves don’t function properly. My hope is to rebalance my nerves. 🙏
I loved this practise! I would like to ask you two questions Melissa. The first one is: How does the body and the mind know when to switch from muscles to connective tissue? My second one is: I live in a cold country( Scotland ) and am close to 70. I get colder and colder during a practice. I make sure that the room is warmly heated and wear lots of layers. Nothing works. Why do you think this is happening ? Thank you so much for your answers and for letting me share your practise.
Hi Maria, These are excellent questions. The first question the answer has to do with the way we treat our body. In exercise and even hatha yoga and vinyasa yoga we move our muscles with fast and rhythmic motion, which warms the muscles and keeps the affect at the superficial layer of the muscles. With yin yoga we soften the muscles, we stay for awhile and apply long-held traction to coax chi and blood through the dense tissue. By pulling and pressurizing the connective tissue, slowly over time, softening the muscles we access the dense and less pliant connective tissue. As far as being cold, this is not necessarily a bad thing. You actually do not want the muscles to be warm, you want them to be cool again to get into the deeper layers of the connective tissues. So to me, this is a sign that you are accessing the deeper layers of your body. Namaste, Melissa
Melissa..Mam.,m 25 ..m suffering from high constipation from the last 3 years..had tried evey thing but waste,,,after watching your videos i decided to do youga plz tell me what is the best time to do it...
I'm writing to ask whether this typw of yoga would be good for me after 2 major abdominal surgeries in 6 months. The first was for colon re sectioning in July, 2018 due to diverticulitis. The second, December 12, 2018, was due to an infected hernia mesh which was causing my incision from the colon re section not heal. I had to wear a wound vac for 4 months and I am finally going to be infection free and wound free soon. I want to do yoga to aid in healing as well as to put me on the path to better digestive health going forward. I'm 49 years old, and relatively healthy with the exception of my abdominal and intestinal troubles this past year. I just don't want to do anything that will be harmful after such major abdominal surgeries. Are these poses gentle enough for someone to practice after the abdominal and intestinal trauma I've explained above? I am a beginner. Thank you for any insight.
I completely understand and you're absolutely right to ask but you need to ask your medical doctor what exercises you can do for recovery, you can even share the video with them and see what they think.
It's been a wonderful class, I am resting in the sea of nourishment. I wanted to know from you what is the best time to do this sequence? Also do you have any particular series which only works on digestive system balance
Hello, thank you for your question. Your spleen meridian is active between 7 and 9 am while your stomach meridian is active between 9 and 11 am so those are the best times to practice this sequence. Here are my yoga classes for digestion ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2YRc5vNnwi4.html Namaste, Melissa
I am resting in a sea of nourishment again 😊my digestive nerves were demyelinated I think in 2007. I changed my lifestyle in 2011 to overcome MS by eating a plant based vegan diet and daily exercise. Also daily meditation 🧘♀️ I know it’s gonna take time and patience.
....Ooooh, by the way, i have MAJOR digestive issues( for REAL ); I can use ALL the help that i can get, so ANYthing you can do to help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again Love 🙏😘😘💖💞

Hi, again, I am doing this for some time, on and off, and I noticed improved digestion first, incresed saliva production but also a lot of hunger or appetite. Any ideas with what should I combine the asanas in order to obtain good digestion but without the excess of appetite, if that is possible? Thank you, it îs amazin either way.
