Woke up at 4am last night and couldn't go back to sleep due to chronic and back pain...did this practice, took some painkillers, and managed to sleep for another 3 hours. Thank you, it's really relaxing and wonderful.
I thought of something that might help you feel a bit better as I know it has worked for a lot of people I know - alexandertechnique.com/constructiverest/ I love this technique and it's really uncomplicated and feels AMAZING afterwards.
Well this is going to be perfect for me today as she says it’s a practice good for when you don’t want to do a whole lot but know you should to feel just a little bit better, so off I go! Of course my kitten Lucy is with me to supervise, stretched out on the blanket in front of me. I like how Aprille tells us we can us whatever props we think we need. I’ve been using a blanket under my gym mat for a while now as the vinyl gets cold so it makes it a lot more inviting to do reclining poses.
So happy to hear you are using the props that support your practice - I know that I use a lot of blankets in my own practice to help me feel cozy, supported, and softer. Amazing how just a few props can make you feel more restful and calm. Give Lucy my love (from one Lucy kitty mom)!

What a lovely practice. Banana pose is one of my favourites. Always moves so much energy around the body. With the different cross of ankles it's slightly more subtle. I like it.
