Hi Kristen, I am thrilled to have discovered your channel. You are an excellent instructor; your guidance is precise and helpful, incorporating moments of silence that are crucial to the healing process. Thank you very much.
Hi Nairi, thank you for your kind words. I'm happy to hear that you're resonating with my classes, and that silence is an important part of your practice. I agree that we need space for silence because that's where we connect to our inner knowing💛
Hi Gina, You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the practice and thank you for the kind comments. Yes, opening the side body releases the outer hips, and helps the lower back relax. 🙏
I know what you mean! It is surprising. Side stretches really target our QL (quadrus laborum), which loosens up the lower back. I'm glad you enjoyed the practice : )
Hi Marisa, you're so welcome! Yes, this practice is great to release the deep tissue of the QL. It definitely takes time if it's been stuck for a while. I'm glad the practice helped : )
You're welcome Hind! Here's a practice that features yin yoga twists: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1yvsM6EW-I.html You may also enjoy this practice: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZPpRt9IvQLM.html
Thank you Kristen! Love this sequence, it opened up my chronically tense and painful side hips, now feeling so good after doing the sequense 3 times. This really helped so much. Haven't found this anywhere else. 🙏🧡💛💚
I had acupuncture today for a tight neck and this was the perfect compliment to that! I love that still point in the heart, lovely back end on blocks! Thanks so much!
Nice. Please consider adding calming low music/background noise to help the viewer/practicioner along the long silent sessions. Several times I was not sure if the video had paused due to complete silence.
Thank you so much for this side body stretch sequence ... I have been following and doing your yin yoga for a few weeks now ... today's practice impacted me in a way I never anticipated. While I have heard of emotional release happening with certain moves, I have never experienced it myself until today. I was overcome with emotion about half to two thirds of the way through. I found the practice today quite challenging for whatever reasons. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Are there certain moves that elicit emotion or does the emotional release come to everyone at some point after practicing for what ever period of time? Curious. Thank you Kristen, very much appreciated.
Hi Brenda! Thank you for sharing your experience of the practice. Yes, this sequence is a difficult one. It's true that when we stretch and open our tissue, there can be emotional release. We store emotional stress in our bodies, and the yin yoga practice not only opens the tissue, but also opens the channels of energy through the body. This is like releasing a dam of energy, and any congested emotions. An emotional release is a good sign that the practice is working on deeper levels for you : ) I recommend trying another yoga class on this channel called "Yin Yoga Heart Opening (60 min Yin for Emotional Healing)" to help you further integrate your emotional body through practice: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iokBKZyilJE.html
@@YogawithKristen Thank you Kristen ... I will do the yin yoga heart opening tomorrow. I did the Side Body again today ... perhaps not the best thing to do as I definitely felt the impact from yesterday. No emotional release today. My husband actually took photos of the various poses as I moved through the practice so we could discuss how I am progressing {he is a Bowen Therapist}
