"You see child, this hospital is actually a set. Actually, your school is a set. Our house is a set. You aren't even a child, you're an adult who we've brainwashed and put in this Truman Show-esque situation to teach you a lesson about lying. I'm sure you're grateful for this important wisdom."
Should I tell my student that lying about allergies is dangerous and isn't a joke or should I traumatize him with a sick prank that wastes everyone's time and money.....decisions decisions...
I was born with twisted femurs, resulting in an out-toe. Kind of like a duck's stance. This makes it VERY easy for me to feign injury, because even my natural gait looks uncomfortable. If I push it, I can twist both my feet backwards, a little beyond 180º. My high-school aerobics teacher was squeamish of this. So if I rotated my leg just enough to look wrong, and grimaced a lot, she would make me sit out the period. Skipped easily half a year's worth of classes this way, and still earned a decent grade. Later on, I discovered my gait looked even worse if I tried to hide my out-toe, and kept my feet facing forward. It makes my legs look fractured, since my knees point inwards instead of straight, making me move off-kilter. During an October zombie walk event, I used this technique, and won the best female zombie prize for two years running. I was a Silent Hill nurse. ^_^ So anyway, I would probably have a pretty lucrative career in insurance scamming, if I ever decided to go down that dark path.
@@justjack1352 It's never hurts to twist them backwards like that, it's still my go-to bar trick. But I'm pushing my mid-thirties now, and a lifetime of having an out-toe gave me flat feet. Since I mainly walk on the outside of my foot. So I do have daily foot pain, but not as a result of doing my backwards walk, nor any joint pain from twisting them. I could walk like that all day if I wanted to. Also, sorry for all the edits, it's a bad habit I need to work on.
My favorite growing trend with Dhar Mann videos is kids being bad then getting punished by flat out sadistic adults. First it was the roblox video where the “good” kid get his brother’s birthday money on top of allowance, and now it’s the mom wasting valuable time and resources in the middle of a pandemic then pulling in other doctors and a teacher out of their busy underpaid jobs. Just to teach one little shit a lesson.
Obviously the way to teach kids important life lessons is to scar them, causing them to associate the action with the trauma, thus preventing them from doing it again for fear of a panic attack. It's called tough love! GEEZ! People these days are soooo fragile!
I'm in cosmetology school and people on the floor refuse to give children a haircut if they think it'll be too traumatic. Seeing adults go to this length to get a point across is kind of unnerving. It's really punching down. Like imagine if Cool Cat beat up the fat bully.
Yeah, plus the fact that the mother is such a psychopathic sadist that she will even punish the little kid even when he was pranked and scared enough with the syringe set up. Just because he didn't want to take a test, that deserves to put the kid through things that made him realise what his mom is capable of if he makes mistakes.
I think the reason Dhar Mann videos are like this is it's satisfying to see the Big Bad Person "get what's coming to them" when really the "justice" shown isn't really going to solve anything except traumatize the person, especially in this instance. There isn't any actual regard for the wellbeing of the Bad Person, they need to be punished in some over the top way for their (minor) transgression I'm reminded vaguely of a case where some people felt their child was too trusting of strangers and arranged a fake kidnapping with the child's aunt and tied him up in the basement for a few hours with the justification it was to teach him a lesson, obviously the morality of this Dhar Mann video is somewhat different to that but *it's there*
@@lowpolyzoe I'll never understand these types of "solutions" Like that too trusting kid, didn't that aunt realise that it's gonna make things worse, like making the kid afraid and paranoid that walking the streets any time of the day will get him jacked and that he won't trust his family anymore? What if next time he'll actually be kidnapped and he won't take it seriously, thinking that it's a prank by his family?
I’ll be honest, I was a little worried the twist was gonna be that the kid would actually die from eating peanuts and everybody would just let him die because they think he’s lying again. Like a Boy Who Cried Wolf kinda deal. That probably wouldn’t have been much better than what we actually got.
Imagine being sent to the hospital for some medical emergency just to find out you'd have to wait to get a bed because the staff wanted to prank some random kid.
The smug snake nature of saying that the troublemaker is the only one not watching Dhar Mann videos is so slimy. He may as well say, "Hey Dhar Mann fam! I'm the best person alive and you can be too if you watch my videos and if you don't listen to me, you're the worst!" It's so egotistical.
The funny thing is, Mikey has been shown to be a big Dhar Mann fanjam in past videos with these exact same characters. I guess Dhar Mann realized that implying that his videos don't actually do anything to make the world a better place wasn't a very good look
“No, no, I’m feeling better now I insist!” Doctor: “ooooh no we can’t take any chances!” *enters room with the device used on Butters when he thought Cartman was a ghost*
And send a bunch of negative comments to content creators that dare present Dhar Mann in any other light than holy. Seriously, the comments on that video after the Dhar Mann Hater video were riddled with prepubescence
This prank probably would of cost the mom thousands in hospital bills. Even if he's fine you still gotta pay. Bankrupting yourself to teach your gremlin a lesson
I actually can't believe how many Dhar Mann videos are self referential, and never in a playful or joking way, always just "Yeah Dhar Mann sure is a genius, his videos are brilliant and make the world a better place," like how do you watch someone with that much of an ego unironically and not feel sick to your stomach?
Kids that don't care about school don't fake an allergic reaction twice to get out of taking a quiz. They just take the quiz, fail like they expected to, and move on with their life.
They kinda failed the boy who cried wolf theme, the consequence of the video only applies to you if you suck at faking sick. Even if its not common for kids to be good liars, the consequences of successfully lying to often are worse than getting caught lying.
How did the teacher see into the future and know the next lie the kid would tell was a fake allergy in order to set all this up ahead of time? Did he give the other kid the peanut bar and everything? How deep does this 4D chess game go? Also I hope nobody was dying of covid while the entire staff of this hospital decided to spend the day playing an epic prank on a child.
friendly reminder that in real life an epi-pen does not stop anaphylactic completely. It gives you 30 minutes to get to a hospital and get proper treatment for your reaction.
I mean sort of. You should still go to the hospital if you go into anaphylaxis because your epi-pen does stop the attack but you always have a chance to relapse once the effects wear off. The longer you go without using epinephrine while in an episode the more likely you are to relapse.
As a teacher I can solve this by: A: Asking his mother if he has a peanut allergy to deduce if he is lying. B: Waste the time and resources of a fucking hospital and place a permanent mistrust of hospitals in a child's mind. Gamer, what would you do?
I don't get it, the entire end segment feels utterly deranged. Does Dhar Mann get his rocks off to making fake children suffer? Not only did they put on a giant show to make him suffer, but made he adults seem to take utter joy in telling the child he was in "BIG trouble" and do a little dance telling him he had an exam to take. Like, Christ. Sit the kid down and talk to him like a human being
I can't believe how many twisted adults are in these videos. A mom and this random doctor literally manipulated a kid into thinking they were going to operate him. That's already terrifying enough as an adult but imagine what that would feel like as a small child. And all that just to teach him that lying is bad??? I seriously hope Dhar Mann is just using these videos as some kind of outlet and doesn't actually employ these tactics on his real kid 😑
God this guy is so fucked up. Like this is kind of people that Batmam, The Teen Titans, and most especially Rorshach would go hunting for. Rorshach would really have a problem with what Dhar Mann is doing. He KILLED the first child abuser he saw. I'm not saying that I want to happen to Dhar Mann btw.
I like how the acting in Dhar Mann's videos is so bad, that the in-character fake acting is about on par with the actual acting. It actually left me confused as to whether or not the kid was actually choking...
Was I the only person who’d actually injure themselves to get out of PE? Like, I didn’t want to get caught faking it, so I just…wouldn’t fake it. I’d intentionally leave my shoe untied, make myself forget that it’s untied, and I would actually fall down and scrape my knee, to make my performance convincing. I knew I wasn’t a good enough actor to just fake it.
So did they take him to a hospital and waste valuable time and resources? Or because they had the fake siren and retractable syringe, did they set up like a hospital set and get actors and props all to teach him a lesson?
I feel like if your mother is willing to arrange this and all the adults in your life go along with it this would be only one of many traumatic incidents
Ussually the "instantly regrets it" comes in the form of direct consequences from their actions or getting shown wrong, not ussually a bunch of adults conspiring to terrorize a child for a pretty minor offense that honestly should have been caught right away
For once I’m gonna defend Dhar Mann. If that kid was wearing AirPods at the beginning of the video we wouldn’t be able to tell he was listening to music, it’d just look like he was shimmying for no reason. A good director is supposed to make action clear and readable, and even though Dhar Mann is an awful director, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he knows the bare minimum of what a good director is supposed to do.
Just look at 12:12. Every frame truly is a painting. Also what kind of psychopath starts a phone call to a parent with "it seems he's having trouble breathing"?
The only thing I can’t believe is that they got these people to act in this. This is like something that should be on Wheel of the Worst that was made in the 80’s and 90’s. But, when the nurse shows up her acting makes it feel like an episode of Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories.
It's not complicated, they just can only work for around 4 hours a day as long as they are still going to school or being tutored on location. Given Dharman's setup he probably just films school/hospital scenes after school and exteriors on weekends.
Don't most peanut related allergies require a pen or some form of medicine?? And also are most allergic reaction that involve peanuts or any kind of nuts super life threatening?? It not just a "ow my tummy hurts" it's life or death
I guess the majority of allergic reactions to nuts can be life threatening, I know my school freaked out when I said my throat itched after I ate cashews. But it didn't make it hard for me to breathe or anything, I also think most schools will give you crap for eating anything with peanut butter on it if they don't have a nut-free table.
Wait, so they just have a mock up of a hospital room at the hospital for just this reason, and then like 5 doctors and nurses take time of from saving peoples lives to teach this kid a lesson? That would explain why the hospital room looks so shit, but still.
To finish Adam and his rap "Mr Mathers the fun and games are over, and just for that stunt I'm gonna give you extra home work" "but what about after school detention?" "Nah, that bully wants to beat your ass and I'm gonna let him"
I feel like the teachers couldn’t call the kid out on faking his allergy/injury, on the off chance it was real and his parents could go after the school for shitloads of money.
When I watched the original video, I thought the kid was actually choking. His brother did bring up the boy who cried wolf, which ends with there being an actual wolf and no one believing him. Maybe that Dhar Mann's original idea, but thought it wouldn't be suitable for his audience? Not saying he had to have the kid die, but something like him actually choking and no one believing him at first, only to be saved at the last minute would've been decent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is the first Dhar Mann video that actually made me angry. The adults were straight up sadistic (they knew he was lying at the nurse's office and could have ended it there by just telling him "Hey, lying about medical issues is not good," but instead they brought him to the hospital and were threatening him with sedation and then injected an empty syringe into him, which is really not healthy as it injects air into your bloodstream) and are portrayed as the ones doing the right thing. Sick fucks
Sure hope there was no one dying or in need of urgent medical care while some of this hospital's staff was helping this woman pull a ridiculously convoluted prank on her idiot son. And again, the other son gets no punishment for doing nothing to stop his brother from telling all these lies SMH Prediction for the title of the next Mikey video: Mom Ships Disobedient Son to Boot Camp, Instantly Regrets It
Someone needs to make a compilation of dhar mann skits that involves gaslighting a character to inflict a lesson upon them. Instant 10M subscribers right there
Yeah! We gave a kid psychological damage in order to teach him a lesson, and now whenever he's feeling sick or is injured he'll never tell anyone if fears that everyone thinks he's faking.
Just for the p-ed teacher's credit, I faked for 5 years that I was on my period EVERY WEEK so I didn't have to play, so yeah... teachers are clueless sometimes
Did the teacher really just leave a class alone? Then have a doctor and multiple nurses get in on a thing to teach this kid a lesson? These people have way too much time on their hands. Especially the doctor and nurses.
"When you keep lying, people will stop believing you after awhile" I mean, I get it, 'the boy who cried wolf' but what if this kid was actually dying, even if he was a liar, what then? Would they just fake all of this because they didn't believe him? Also, I get they hire the same kid actor to play the bad kid over and over again, but if they really want to prevent this kid from growing up to be a dictator and give him a bright future, maybe they should actually stop wasting their time punishing a kid and put in the effort to help him through school
If his mom was committed to his punishment they would pump him with anesthetics and let him overhear them talk about how he’ll be in a coma he can never recover from.
