Its funny how some Doctors will prescribe Opioids for back pain and never mention Yoga....L5 Rupture- back operation......this SOLVED my lower back pain...period. Thanks Cole! Excellent instruction!
I have probably watched this 100 times or more. I have it memorized so I don't actually have to watch it if I want to do it. I use it so much...because I have had sciatica for years. This has helped me to manage it so that I rarely have pain or if I do, it is much less often. I recommend this to so many folks. I also have rarely ever commented in the past, but this video truly is my favorite.
Thank you for your comment, I have sciatica too. I did tapping (eft) 3 years ago, it helped a lot, it diminuished the pain a lot but it came back these days, so I'm doing this class to help manage it :)
Been using this video since 2015 I would not be able to function without it, id be very inflammed within it manages my chronic fatigue, i do about 4 videos of Coles in one sesdion 2x weekly, good to hear others are managing their health with this. 😃 Its nice and calming to move along to, feel like ive pressed body reset after.
Wow, this is amazing, thanks so much for sharing this one with us! We're very glad that you've been able to find relief with our little video, hope you'll join us and comment again soon 😀
4 videos in a row? That's intense. Do you pick them randomly, or do you have 4 go-to videos that you always do in a row? Care to share? Do you have a Playlist?
i have scoliosis and cole's yoga for back pain is the one and only exercise that has given me complete freedom from back pain. i have spent lots of money and time in physical therapy, it caused more pain. Doctors were ready to operate. WOW Cole saved me...thank you Cole
I have dealt with low back pain for 3 years. Went to doctor and couldn’t find anything wrong. So I finally decided to do this just last week and holy heck is this a miracle drug. I owe this woman so much thanks.
It was only 2 days ago since I applied this back pain, MootBack.xyz however it already made some changes. Essential to prevent lower back pain. It was as expected. This will work naturally and gives the needed comfort even though I made use of it just lately..
Though this is one of the earliest release by Cole I must comment that this is a super good and effective video for back pain. Each time my back hurts this video comes to my rescue. Try it and you will be really thankful to Cole. One of the many videos I treasured thanks Cole.
I've been suffering with chronic back pain since I was 18. This is really doable for someone like me with the worlds tightest hamstrings and spine issues. I do this every day now. Thanks for the great share. Cheers from Canada.
Glenford hi its really work on u I get real bad bk for year now and my weight don't help so can u tell me how many time a day u do it thank u I'm from UK
Hi Lisa, I'm no expert but I've been doing yoga for years and I find that the number of times to do a routine like this totally depends on your amount of pain and your free time. For me I find 1 deep session is more than enough for 1 day. And I rarely make the time for that. So for me I do some of my favorite pain-relieving stretches briefly when I wake up and when I remember, before bed. And that helps. My main suggestion if your new to it, is to take on as much as feels good for you. Overdoing it can lead to burnout or injury. Sometimes 4-5 minutes of nice stretches is all it takes to get on with your day in a better mood. Wishing you great success with your yoga practice!
Thankyou Cole for this wonderful contribution to the world's back health! We all evolved into walking upright and have lower back pain as a consequence. Six years after you made this video it is still a great gift to us all. Wish I could convince everyone whom I see experiencing back pain to try it.
I have been living with lower back pain for a decade after I broke my hip when I was 19. I am on pain management, had surgeries, cortisone shots, years of physical therapy and nothing was working until I found this video!!! Thank you a million times over, my quality of life has quadrupled; you are amazing!

This is my first time doing yoga and I am so thankful I gave it a try. My back pain is almost gone. I feel my muscles relaxed. I will continue to follow this channel to improve my body, mind and soul. THANK YOU!!
This is a great video that I try to do everyday. I have a bulging L5 disc that pinched my S1 nerve. I couldn't get out of bed or even stand up. The pain was excruciating and debilitating to where I was popping 6 to 8 Norcos a day. My doctors were no help either. They basically told me it's either an epidural shot in the back or surgery. Well that just wasn't acceptable to me. With the pain and advice from the doctors, if I wouldve accepted that, I would've spiraled into a depressive state. Which is easy to do with this type of injury. It's been 7 months since my injury and I have improved a lot just thru my chiropractor, acupuncture, acupressure, yoga, meditation (which I never used to do), inversion therapy. But most important was not giving up and maintaining a positive attitude, which is not easy but it can be done. Your body is amazing and has the power to heal itself from most ailments. One thing you have to know is these injuries take time, they really do. Many medical experts with different philosophies have all told me this. One other thing to keep in mind also, and this apparently common too. These types of injuries can feel like you're healing fast, then the healing slows down alot. During this period, i almost gave up because I thought I had plateaued in healing. Well I was wrong, your body will continue to heal, just at a slower rate. One more thing to remember, I also have bad posture and I'm sure that contributed to my disc ailment. Bad posture, for me at least, was not being helped by my extremely weak core muscles. If you have a weak core, your back will end up trying to keep you straight which is not the spine's job. You can have all the surgery in the world along with other treatments, if your core is weak, your spine will compensate for that. YOU HAVE TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CORE!! Thank you Cole, you rock, sorry for the long ramble. I am healing!! Namaste :)
I am in the exact same situation. L5 S1! I've been practicing this yoga for a month now. My symptoms have improved a lot. Thank you Cole Chance! Love your videos!
Hi DJ Breeze-- What's "Core" ?? You said "Bad posture, for me at least, was not being helped by my extremely weak core muscles. If you have a weak core, your back will end up trying to keep you straight which is not the spine's job. You can have all the surgery in the world along with other treatments, if your core is weak, your spine will compensate for that. YOU HAVE TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CORE!!"
@@nancynahm8790 core means your abdominal area (Stomach Area) You needs to strengthen that because core is the primary source which is keeping you away from the back pain. So make yours abs work
This is an awesome video. I have degenerative disc disease and had spinal fusion surgery several years ago. I also have arthritis in my hips and back and doing these asanas in the morning have made a huge improvement in my range of motion and in pain reduction.
I am a breast cancer survivor who suffers from some pretty bad back pain from working at a computer most of my day. Thank you for this and all of your excellent videos! :)
I've been practicing in the morning using your videos for the last three weeks. ( I am a complete beginner) Its been very useful having half hour sessions as I can relax and focus without the worry of time before I head off to work. ( it really help with the stress of work) This evening I practiced for an hour with you finishing with this video, I would just like to say I have noticed a difference in my poses, the suppleness of my back, and my mood. Thank you so much for sharing this. I can't thank you enough.
This video is a comprehensive way to battle low back pain. I never knew that tight hip muscles was part of the problem. I thought it was my low back injury that caused my hip pain. My lower back pain is now a 3/4 vs the acute 9/10 it was two weeks ago. I follow this video every morning before work. Thanks to Cole and yogaTx.
Hello, Just want to thank you I have been using this video since three years ago. I moved from California to Spain 6 months ago and I still do this practice. My back pain is gone... thanks again besitos from Spain.
I have suffered severe back pain and lower back pain because of the nature of my job which is mainly physical work and recently I took a driving job which made it worse because I have to drive many hours every day. I searched for many yoga videos for back pain but none is as relieving as this. Thank you so much! I feel like doing this twice a day but I'm not sure if it's too much 😂 this video is keeping me away from seeing the doctor and I'm grateful!
This was amazing. I have been battling blockages in my upper vertebrae for a year. This 30-minute session relieved them for almost a whole day. I am totally impressed.
Good lord, I didn't realize how tight my muscles were. I knew it was bad when my back extensor spasms started up AGAIN, but I didn't realize how much midterm studying was killing me. Favorite, liked, bookmarked, and doing this again and again until I regain my flexability and strength. Thank you!
hmm, very hard to attempt this with a cat constantly hanging around you, but she finally went to sleep so I could try it, it has helped my back and I feel much happier after this exercise. Thank you
This was just what I needed today! I have been dealing with a lot of lower back pain this past week along with muscle spasms. It has been tough because I still have to pick up and carry my 8 month old on and off all day. I have been looking through videos for gentle back stretches and this was perfect!
I've had back issues mostly stemming from being a dipshit in my teens and 20's...football, bar fights, construction jobs, rough housing in general. This video does more to relieve that than anything else I've tried. I'm 6'3" and about 275 (about 30-40 LBS over weight) and this video doesn't restrict me like some others do because of my large muscles and big beer belly. So thank you for doing this for free and good job on making it simple
Cole I have sciatica and did this flow today. I just want you know how thankful I am for you. I feel better physically and I feel at peace. Namaste dear Cole
This helped to relieve my headache and my back/ leg pain. Thank you so much. I usually suffer because I have high blood pressure and shouldn't really take pain medication, but this was great. I cant thank you enough
Thank you for this practice, it really has made a difference in my back. I woke up this morning with back ache and tension in my upper back but after this exercise I feel a lot better. Thank you ❤️
Thanks so much for this on a day that my back is giving me problems (sacral/heart chakra problems -_-). This flow is so great, not only to relieve pain, but also as a bedtime yoga routine :)
I love you videos. Thank you very much. Is it possible to upload a yoga sequence video for students who are sitting a lot during exam periods or while writing thesis. Thanks :)
Your videos are amazing! You're truly helping people heal. I had back pain when I lifted my suitcase the wrong way and I was feeling hopeless. I feel much better after watching your videos! Thank you so much! 🎉

Awesome stretches... my back already feels good.. had a terrible back ache it feels amazing now! Loved Your yoga ❤️🙏🏻thank you .. May u prosper more and let the divine give u more strength and energy to share your love to all💗🌞
Thank you so much! I live again! For me, it's the best yoga exercises to relieve my fragile back (two slipped discs with sciatica) because I am affected by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which weakens all the joints
Thank you Cole. You have an amazing way teaching us compared to some. You have a calm voice - very natural person. I'm glad I found you. I pulled a muscle in my back a week ago. And I'm amazed how these easy stretches has helped. The job I do involves standing a lot. I'll be watching more of you're videos. 😊 thank you!
I received a concussion after falling backward down a flight of stairs and landing headfirst on a concrete floor. Several weeks later I went to a chiropractor and the adjustment spasmed my trapezius (the large muscle between the shoulder blades). I was pretty messed up. This video, along with the one for neck and shoulder pain, has slowly put me back together. Thank you Cole for giving me back my mobility through your exceptional yoga instruction.
I've been doing this practice for about a month now and not only does it help my sciatica this class works out the rest of my body and I am so grateful for this, thank you Cole !! x
Anyone else had a really good stretch from some of these and just automatically went "oh fuck yes that feels so good jesus" following curse words at the instructor after she wanted to move on to the next move. Like no woman my bones are cracking and smiling right now I'm in my zone let me die in peace 😂
That happened with me back in highschool, lol. The teacher was instructing us through stretches, and then my lower back cracked really loud. I ended up sounding like I had an orgasm, lol. Because of my size, I've had back pain on and off for a long time. It's gotten a bit better, since I started losing weight.
I used to do this routine a few months back and thought it was great. But then about 3 months ago I had a severe disc herniation, and I've been dealing with it using physiotherapy and stretching. Thought I was ready to do some yoga again and tried doing this yoga program today, but this time I noticed there are some postures with a lot of forward bending, which puts pressure on the discs in the lower back and causes my sciatica to become worse. So unfortunately, some of the postures in this program are not good for sciatica caused by a herniated disc. You might want to put that in the description. I like Cole's videos, and I'd love to see a video specifically for sciatica caused by a herniated disc in the lower back - I bet a lot of people would really find it helpful.
yoga can cause damage to the body; it can aggravate existing conditions, some to the point where surgery is needed; and it is not the fault of the unitnitated. It is up to the Yogis to prepare each new student for the rigors of yoga. Yoga is first and foremost a physical practice, not a spiritual one. It involves challenges to the body much the same as any fitness regimine or routine. Any good trainer that strives to change the body must evaluate the condition of each new participant before recommending any program. You cannot simply through someone into a one size fits all class or routine and tell each new student that it's up to them to interpret their body's limits. That's irresponsible and fraudulent. Yoga has a long way to go towards respecting those it attempts to teach the practice to. xo
@@maddiec7913 I agree. I have two herniated disc in my lower lumbar. Was looking for a good stretch video but man I can't even come close to anything this lady is doing. This is like an advance class and she doesn't explain any of that. Heck I can't even sit like that lol she has flawless skin though jeez 🤣
Just found Cole last week and will only do her yoga videos from now on! I live in Dubai and never thought I would find my fav yogi vlogger in Texas of all places. :)
Hi from Mexico! this video I really love it! It relaxed me so much and I hava a back pain, I just did my first time and I dont feel any pain, thank you for your excellent work, namaste :)
Oh this was so needed. Been doing video editing and voice over work on the computer today for my own yoga video to come out soon, and I needed a good low back release. Thank you so much, Cole. Namaste.
thank you so much been looking for something that would relax my tiring muscles. this made me relax that I would like to sleep after doing it. more power to you...
I discovered YogaTX a few months ago while recovering from shoulder and elbow surgeries. Cole has become a favorite of mine. This practice will become a favorite; I work as a stylist and a standing posture for hours on end does not come without problems. This practice really gave me some release where my body needed it most. Thanks.
Love the pace and time spent in each pose, as a dental assistant my lower back is always hurting-hopefully this will help. I feel a little better so far.
Amazing video! My back pain is much better after the video! The audio was great when the camera was in front of you, but it was difficult to hear on the wide shot. Perhaps a microphone on you (LAV) would help.
Thank you so much for the continual reminder that I need to listen to my body and not force the stretch. My earliest yoga classes always left me in pain because I always pushed my stretch too far. Your continual reminder to stay with what feels good for me brings me to tears. Why do I always push so hard. I need to have more compassion for myself like I do for my massage clients. Bless you for your wonderful teachings dear one!!! You are a NATURAL TEACHER!!
the only possible thing I will comment is to never tell a client to 'turn around and look at your leg' for pigeon. much easier to look thru your legs going down so as not to twist at at that time. I've been doing your video every morning now for about a month. I don't even want to search for another am stretch. the hip and sacrum openings are the best! Thank You...
I use this video all the time for my lower back, since using this I have not totally thrown my back out anymore. It has helped so much. I share it with everyone! I was wondering if you could make another one like this but with less instructions for people who use it all the time. I needed the instructions at first but now I would rather just have the quiet during the postures. Thanks for this video!!
I regularly use this sequence when my lower back pain is insufferable. It does wonders. Thanks Cole, you're awesome. And I agree with people below, you're the coolest yoga instructor around!
