I love your simple caring style. You guide well in a practical and straightforward way. I like your giving attention to the feet - the often ignored body parts, but so important. I hope many others will find you and benefit from your instruction as well. Thank you so much!

I also have osteoporosis and was looking for a gentle way to add yoga to my exercise plans. I've done some yoga classes in the past but needed specific safe ways to do the exercises to help build and protect my bones. This was a great intro for me and will do more with you! Thank you.

I see you have a video, "YOU CAN REVERSE OSTEOPENIA!" I have osteoporosis. I know you can tell me how effective any kind of exercise will be for me personally, but if it's possible to reverse osteopenia, is it possible to also reverse OSTEOPOROSIS? And if so, do you have a video for that? Thanks Susannah!

I am a 70 year old lady who was diagnosed with osteoporosis but it’s mostly in my lower spine. The other areas are fine. I opted not to take the Prolia. I just don’t feel good about it. Anyway I exercise every day with walking videos and with your program for osteoporosis. I’m very active in my life. Involve in church activities and my grandchildren and helping people with things like running errands etc. I’d like to know if there is a specific walking program geared for me. I also take supplements for my bones. Thank you for your videos.

I practice yoga and have done a few of your videos. I do have OP in lower spine. Can I do regular yoga at all anymore? I would really like to and yours as well. TY
@ForeverYogawithSusannah
@ForeverYogawithSusannah 4 года назад
Hi! Thanks for doing my video! I would say that depends on your definition of "regular yoga". I have slight OP in my spine too, and as you can see I do lots of yoga! The more you stay in shape the more you stay in shape. Just remember to bend your knees in forward bends and be very gentle with twisting. Choose yoga styles and instructors that allow you to feel safe making modifications for your own needs.

Hi the exercise windshield wiper... Are we not twisting our spine... I thought people with osteoporosis.. are not supposed to twist the spine

I couldn't even do Warrior 1 pose. I could not get my leg that straight and the camera view did not include a view of her foot, so couldnt see the placement. Funny, bit I think I could do that position standing up.
@ForeverYogawithSusannah
@ForeverYogawithSusannah 3 года назад
@elaine kolstein HI! If you are more comfortable doing Warrior 1 standing that is the way to go!! Please know that the correct placement for your leg, feet etc is what feels safe and appropriate for you. All the best!

Thank you for this routine, Susannah! I've been practicing yoga for years (I have a Gaia membership) but never pushed myself to do any very advanced poses or very strenuous routines. I'm very accustomed to doing Hatha and Vinyasa but especially slow-flows. My question is because I have osteoporosis of the spine and left hip should I ONLY do the above routine? (I get bored doing the same thing all the time. ) I can't find any help for my question on Gaia. What do you suggest? Thanks in advance!
@ForeverYogawithSusannah
@ForeverYogawithSusannah 2 года назад
Hi Luzi! You are absolutely correct that it would be best to do various routines, not just the same movements over and over. As you have so much yoga experience I suspect you would be able to do any of my videos where I mention safe for osteoporosis. Remember to bend you knees in forward bends, don't twist to your max and use your common sense to avoid any moves that don't feel right. Here is one to try: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--yWgYXwh4T4.html
