Yoga nidra with trauma and ADHD. I still find it SO hard and also SOOOOO worth it

I'm still processing my few days old diagnosis of 'severe adhd with combined presentation'.
Between that and heightened anxiety (and JOY and DELIGHT and EXCITEMENT) to have my full driving licence and be out and about, I realised that while I've shared soooo many yoga nidras and loads of info about the benefits etc, I don't think I've ever shared how HARD I still find my daily yoga nidra.
So, naturally (I currently feel like a total adhd cliché: Right now, impulse to make a vid before getting dressed and putting make up on to look more professional and GOING eith the urge to get this out in case it helps even one person) recorded it in my pjs because I'm not yet showered and dressed today.
I've had heart palpitations as I've settled into my yoga nidra every day these past few weeks (with the driving licence 🤣🤣🤣 am working with my nervous system and, as per an old Sankalpa, AM becoming an excellent driver!).
Each day, I wonder if I should just stop and get up and DO the things that are competing for headspace the whole time. (Today, I've yet to finish cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, living room and office. Apparently, when I start the medication, this won't be my norm.)
Who knew that some people only have one thought at a time????
I've just discovered this this week!!!!!
I'll be sharing more (in a more organised way) but for now, wanted to encourage anyone who's ever given up on relaxation, rest and yoga nidras because it's so hard to FIND a way to be kind to yourself and ease into it.
Every day, I go from crawling out of my own skin to a sense of ahhhhhh and yumminess that is similar to the way I feel in the sea or pool.
I'm going to be sharing much more of what's helping me (and WHY. Am fascinated by the neuroscience) as I discover more in hopes that it will help you
