Li Xuerui played amazyingly in all of the previous matches this year and only lost 1 match(against Wang Shixian). I don't know what's wrong with her today but she seems wasn't even close to her best form. Half of Intanon's points were won by just leaving the shuttle when Li Xuerui hits it out of the bottom line. I hope she can adjust her self quickly and come back winning the Malaysia open.

Thai beauty Ratchanok Intanon is a popular winner over Li Xuerui, the eliminator of home favorite Saina Nehwal. She also has immaculate manners and is one of the most popular players among fellow players and badminton fans. Li Xuerui looked exhausted and error prone early on, and her desperate attempts to stage a comeback were insufficient as Intanon was brilliant in attack and defense. Crowd support was with her and so she did it again in India.

Amazing fast-paced match. Kudos to both ladies. It is clear that Li was more tired at the beginning of the match but she tried very hard at the end. It is also clear that this playing style favours Ratchanok's superior playing making abilities. If I am the Chinese coach, I would like to see the pace slowed and the rallies longer. But as a fan, this match was awesome!
