YOU are welcome Sky-FUlls Awesome One ....What an Honor to come across Bear Medicine....I was part of a Navajo Bear ceremony several years ago, very moving and powerful, performed a renewal wedding in the middle of it....Many Shamans around the world associate the Bear with protecting and healing. We dedicated our 1st grandchild to the Bear People in a Beautiful Way.... Thank YOU again for doing the Sacred Sauntering for Rev, since I cannot walk very well at least physically.... YOU are a Gift Ajahn.... 😍🚶🙏
I noticed a photographer further up the trail who looked intense on filming something that was moving, I assumed by his actions it was a bear. I was lucky that I was alone on the trail, but there were many people just below me and moving up towards the bear. I waited to see where the bear was going and when it stopped just 10 feet from the trail, knew I had to warn everyone. No bear encounters were reported that day, so hopefully this one did not enter the campsites below.
It looks like you had a great time! That was a close call with the bear; I could hear a baby crying behind you too! I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your trip!
Yes it is critical to keep these beautiful bears wild. A fed bear is a dead bear, as the saying goes. I was worried this bear was headed towards the campgrounds. Hopefully all the campers read the Warnings about bears and how to store food.
So much water in the rivers and waterfalls! wow... I visited in the fall and there is no comparison. :) Sending you my warmest wishes and a big smile. Travel well.
@@bodhipala3 Drip by drip, keep plugging in ! Yosemite has been spectacular, but after -40 at Birken the 35 C temps are wearing me out. Fortunately Blake have arranged all our permits to start and end at the same location, so if we find a nice basecamp area we can just setup, meditate and do day hikes. No need to stress about getting in long miles of hiking.
That is awesome. Is this Ted who I helped fall his first tree? I have so many bear stories from my stays at Arrow River. Once I was charged by a bear (named Little Sister a two year old bear). It turnout she was fleeing probably hearing my approach but not knowing where the sound originated and she ran in my direction. My immediate response seeing Little Sister running towards me was to put my daypack between us and I charged towards her (thinking if she was charging - my counter reaction might mitigate the impact of her having all the momentum - that thought process happened in a split second🤣). Fortunately as soon as she saw me, she jumped straight up and turned in mid-air and ran the other way.
