Here is some footage of our second backpacking trip. This is a hike I’ve always wanted to do, and it was worth the effort. Most of our wilderness permits we had applied for 6 months ago were in this area, but due to Tioga Pass Road being closed we had to make changes to our permits and did El Capitan on the first trip. Fortunately this hike was available and we got last minute permits to do it.
This area had lots of beautiful lakes, views and wildflowers. We have one more permit in this area and one down in Sequoia National Park. The remainder of our stay in the Sierras we have several options to backpack in some National Forest areas. We are finding that doing two night trips with three days of hiking is working well for us.
Hope you are enjoying the beauty of the Sierras. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to be here. Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip be a possibility.
Peace,
