'A' 45-70? But, i've already got two! The only problem I've ever had with my Henry is trying to load those Lever Revolutions you got there through the tube, instead of the gate. The lip of the tube would always catch the lip of the brass as it went back in.
I agree with you on this. This is why I don’t care for the guide models that much. One reason I do not like the tube being shorter than the barrel is because it reduces capacity. I have a 2016 Marlin 1895 CB 45-70 with the 18.5 inch barrel and the tube magazine is equal in length and gives it a capacity of 6+1. I notice on Henry models the forearm stocks seem to be much longer. I never have been a fan of Henry lever guns mainly because I do not prefer the tube loading feature. I always say if Henry would make one without tubeloading and just side gate only I would seriously consider buying one.
