Great message! I love NT Wright, and Surprised By Hope is a great book. In addition to the plethora of ways that you listed by which we can infect the present with the future, I would add bringing healing and deliverance to people through the power of the Holy Spirit. Freedom and wholeness are definitely in our future! Also if you haven't watched "The Last Reformation - The Life" yet, you should totally watch it. Peace!

Awesome word, brother. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I catch strange words and looks quite often. While it can get frustrating, I love it and wouldn’t want it any other way. We do the best we can to live out the model of Jesus and church in our marriage. It looks different than the world view of marriage, so people do not understand it. They understand my words about the gospel and the way to live, and I do catch flack for that as well. Just like marriage, the world view of Christianity is different than the walk we are actually suppose to take on. God bless you

I love Back to the Future as well and have at times imagined what it would be like to time travel, but now I understand that following Christ is basically like being a traveler from the future because I am pursuing a life that is completely different and at times contradictory to that of the world and those around me. Kind of makes me wonder if Paul would have used this analogy if he knew about time travel. He talks a lot about being set apart and living as a new creation and even talks about having access to wisdom beyond the world's understanding in 1 Corinthians 2. Thanks for sharing your perspective, it makes Pauls teachings about how we are supposed to live as Christians so much more relatable and understandable in a way!

I am Gali, in the year 1980 I lost all my hopes, I became a thief and club dancer. At that time I heard about Christ, the Lord spoke with me though the Scripture. JOHN 14:6 “I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.” I surrendered my life to Lord Jesus and confessed that He is the only Lord and died for my sins to deliver me from all my sins (Karma). When I totally surrendered my life to the Lord He has delivered me from evil spirits, which suffered me about 6 years. I became a new person in Christ. I love Bible so much and started memorizing the scriptures. By the grace of God I have memorized Five Thousand (5,000) Verses from the Holy Bible. Every week I also remember all the verses. Morning time I remember about 1500 verses for praise, worship and prayer. (Including 100 Psalms). This practice helps me to grow strong in the Lord and also to help others for the glory of the Lord.
