I’m about to do the same thing. Just saw Dean pop up in my recommended, guess it’s time to rewatch the series all over again. Love finding a new RWBY reactor (well, new to me).

Ruby didn't Ascend, to ascend in this case is too change into a completely different person. Ruby didn't change she just found herself again when she got lost Yang even said it "You're you? But how?". Like Jean said "She always knew what she wanted to be." Ruby was "that girl who was enough." Meaning there was no need to change so she didn't.

@@DragoonZell In a way you can say she did, she managed to figure herself out again after going through a lot of confusion and heartbreak and realize that being herself was already more than enough, the Tree didn’t need to change her since it helped her realize that she didn’t really need to change and from what i figure, what the Tree does is to help whoever enters it sort themselves out via Ascension, it just turns out for a majority of Afterans, they prefer to gain a new identity after…… the Blacksmith did explain that viewing Ascending as abandoning one’s old identity and getting a new one is a overly simplistic view of what the Tree and Ascension really does….

What do you think the odds are of Lewis being another one of the Ozma-successors?

@@MrAuthor3DS It's an interesting theory, but I don't think the timing aligns. Then again, we have no idea as to when he became Ozpin in the first place, so who knows.

Not sure why they wouldn't greenlight it though, the show is still very much watched ^^

@@Silverdenn Stipulations by the heads talking about the show moving to crunchyroll, means they literally were begging people to watch by any means legally to get the views so CR knows this show is still in demand and loved. Hearing by the numbers in the later half this past month it's almost a certainty they are cooking.

He seemed to think there was a time travel element with them returning to before the fall of Atlas. I think he confused Amity Colosseum for Atlas floating overhead.

In addition to Vacuo/Shade, there is still the final confrontation at Beacon with the crown. There are a lot more volumes to go.

@@themythmaker1248 I am a bit suspicious as to whether we will get more than a V10, so I will gather that Beacon will be a mission, possibly with the remaining members of team STRQ with either Robin or Glinda subbing for Summer. Being that Raven can gain the access to the vault. Whilst war is waging in Vacuo. They do like to mimic aspects of LOTR.

@@billa3785 Only Cinder can access the Beacon vault. Each of the maidens could only open one vault, that's why Cinder needed Raven/Vernal to open the vault beneath Haven.

@@thetuftedpuffin1025 I was under the impression that all you needed was to be a maiden to access the vaults. Not a specific maiden. So here is to hoping that Cinder gets killed by one of team RWBY.

It’s about accepting herself. Believing that she, Ruby, has the capacity and the strength to carry on. She had so many moments of doubt. She felt so alone. But that moment, that realisation that she is strong, she’s not alone. She can do this. She is enough, rang true to me.

@@DeanBarryStuff I guess it does to some? But it is such a… not long lasting solution to this. If they don’t come in with season ten and give her the growth that comes with the resolve than this entire thing was a lost opportunity.

if he gets literally even 2 seconds of spotlight everyone spits the dummy and it's hurtful to me since he is the character i relate to the most. i notice things about him that make me think "hey he is neurodivergent like me".

I was kinda scared that he might've stayed old, personally i don't think it'll be all that weird down the line. He may have spent a so long in the Ever After, but I like to think he was stunted, in limbo that whole time just stuck in the same mindset/trauma.

@@omadselc Still, I liked older Jaune, maybe even slightly more than regular Jaune. We got time to get used to him and then they just make him young again. I would’ve liked it if something from the Ever After followed them to Remnant, but they didn’t bring Somewhat, the Cat (obviously), and not even Jaune’s age. I would’ve liked it if they had something that they didn’t before falling into the Ever After, because at this point, if you looked at volume 8 and the end of volume 9, there’s no visible difference between the characters, which older Jaune would’ve fixed by staying old. It’s it’s as if they never went (other than having gone through internal stuff, which was the main thing of this volume). I still loved V9, but I would’ve loved it a bit more if something or some effect from the Ever After stayed and came with any of them to Remnant.

@@SauceyRedHN I mean, the effects of Jaune's time in the Ever After is still there, it's still a part of him, which is shown with the fact that he now has some white in his hair, even though he was de-aged.

@@shadow98004 HOLY SHIT! I didn't even notice that! I'm so happy there's _some_ physical remnant (heh) of the effects of the Ever After! I still wish they kept Jaune's age, but I suppose I can be satisfied with the bit of white in his hair.

She didn't not care, she just didn't notice it until it was too late. None of them did.
