Let's work smarter not harder! Here are two tips to make your pull-ups better today. Form is essential for a good pull-up. Practice this for a pull-up workout for beginners. Active hang pull-up hold is a great way to engage those muscles and feel what it takes to land a good one. Use isometric holds to make your position stronger - try the isometric hold challenge if you think you're up for it! Go get it!

When I first started calisthenics about 6 months ago I had shoulder pain when doing pullups, I worked on engaging my scapulas and got better now I can do 9 muscle ups

First video I've ever seen where someone breaks down where to go if you struggle with pull-ups. As someone who used to be able to bang out 30, and now struggles with 3. It's very disheartening when the bro-vice is always "well, if you can't do pull-ups, it's because you need to do more pull-ups". I now have a starting point. I'm very excited to get back to my goals of weighted pull-ups. Thanks guys 👍

I like to think that the guy with a hat had just gotten out of a long term relationship that left him emotionally exhausted...until he met pull up guy and they both instantly felt a spark of excitement. Pull up guy had just decided he'd put himself out there more, ya know, live a little. Hat guy compliments pull up guys ponytail secretly hoping pull up guy would reciprocate the compliment. When their eyes met they both felt the flutter of excitement in the potential of happiness again. After they made this video, they went on to share an order of mochi & kambucha...which led to them sharing the rest of their lives together. (Sighs) A man can dream....

One thing I would say as well, is people new to pull ups tend to fail, when they have the strength to keep going. I'm not advocating for going until you pass out, but I found that just being used to the motion and the feeling will increase the number you can do

Concidering the iso hold, better hold uptop of the pull to build more strength. Can't do it ? 1. Jump to the position and hold tight as long as you can 2. Go negative as slow as you can 3. You can assist you body with a resistance band 4. Try it on a small bar where you can actually get uptop without a jump and start going on taller bars everytime you get more strength and ability to pull up and down. ...Get enough rest between the sets, do a proper warm-up. .. it's all about consistency which means the better you're committed the better the results that you're getting. Good luck for everyone.

I reaaaally recommend the pasive/active hang drill. Also jumping to the end position and then coming back with control worked for me. Maybe it's not that great since I've honestly not seen that tip very often but whatevs. Go for it! Good luck

Hey man thanks💯 What makes this cool is that I play around with postural things like this and iv done this exact training. Taking a step back to focus on form to practice contracting only the required muscles, n I never felt my back flexing intensly on pull ups in the past. so it's always nice when someone experienced reveals niche things like this, it validates my efforts greatly so thx mahn😄🤞

I love when twigs talk about doing pull ups. Like “look it’s easy” ya if I was 130 and 70% of my mass was my upper body it would be easy too. Get over 200 and see if you can do over 10 then talk.

Gonna have to disagree with you there because I personally worked pull ups for a while before realizing how fucking weak my mid-lower traps were because I wasn't retracting my shoulder blades correctly, instead using my arms. THEN there's the thousands of high schoolers and tens of thousands of middles schoolers primarily using their arms to try and impress their friends with "pullups"
