as someone who has been cheated on, i can see why he would go out of his way to prove it to his wife that “yes, you did cheat on me and here’s the proof” because when you feel like there’s a third person in your relationship, you tend to go crazy with overthinking every little thing. but i have to agree that, how the guy handled all of this was wrong.

I had a stroke a few years ago, and lost huge chunks of my memory. If I had a Grain, my memories would be backed up in the Cloud, and I could get them back. I would absolutely love that. I wouldn't want to invade anyone else's Grain though. That's like finding someone's diary and reading it. Not cool.

By far one of my favorite episodes of Black Mirror. The series is the best when it's about very human experiences mixed with advanced tech. Like adultery or grief and loss. Be Right Back is also an amazing episode.

That episode was so good:D The wife was infuriatingly awful, husband was insecure and annoying af, the oily guy was even worse than both of them combined (its been years since i watched that episode and he still gives me the ick; when you recalled how he tenderly ran a finger across the grain robbery scar I literally shivered) Great retelling lol

I guess watching the cheating memory for him was like RM with the PTA stalker, where the victim kept the pillowcase hung up after she got cheated on. It serves as a reminder of being hurt, because memories can fade and nostalgia kicks in. But if you have something more concrete with the betrayal, like the pillowcase or the memory, you have this extra barrier of protection from softening to the person who hurt you.

This is completely true for an eye witness. I feel like you either hyper focus on every detail or can't remember anything. I had a man break into my house. Luckily my dog got him out and I barricaded the door. But I shit you not I would swear up and down it was a white guy in a black Hoodie my ring camera caught it all, which i didnt have uploaded on my new phone yet so i was looking out the peep hole, and he was actually black in a red sweatshirt. I tried to describe the guy to the officers and once I got my ring camera working and I pulled up the image I felt like the dumbest person in the world.

If there was such grains, there also must've been laws prohibiting misuse and such... Like, it's not allowed to watch other's memories unless they show it to you of their free will or you have a search warrant... Something. It it comes in the future I'm sure the legal system have prepared for it... Like any tech; eventually there are laws regarding it.

For me a compassionate lie would be when something really bad happened and it can not be erased or undone 🤔 being a compassionate human and considering who it is you are talking to be them young or old I could understand the little white lie. However for things like cheating or stealing or violence and anything beyond that 100% tell the truth. Also if a woman asks you if you cheated odds are she already knows the answer and is giving you the opportunity to be honest. Honesty truly is the best policy, lies will always come back to bit you.
