In this episode, Elle discusses the importance of not just seeking a rich man, but a generous one. She delves into the challenges of relationships with men who aren't generous, including the pitfalls of separate finances during pregnancy and the strain of unbalanced expectations. Elle also advises listeners to be careful when dating men raised by single mothers, as their expectations of a woman’s role might be skewed. She emphasizes that a man’s wealth is irrelevant unless he’s willing to share it and advises listeners to date in a way that prioritizes actions over words. The episode is packed with valuable insights on dating, gender dynamics, and self-worth.

ONE MORE THING, do you know why men do not ask? Bc for men asking is equal to making a DEBT, so when they ask something they are in debt with the person that gave them something. So, you ask? FYI in many Native American cultures boys were raised to be good hunters for others. When a young man wanted a wife he had to prove to her family he was a good provider. He had to bring deer meat, horses, etc. And he had lots of older male guidance to be a good man, too. This is bare minimum stuff! If a man wants his genes passed on and someone keeping house for him and his offspring then he NEEDS to provide. I’m so glad younger women are waking up. I hope it’s a global movement because we need to be more discerning about who we let into our lives and who gets to pass on DNA.

You are right. However, with the fatherless men, depends on the society. In southeastern Europe where I live, fatherless men are usually better providers (" so my kids& wife don't suffer like Mom& myself& my siblings did") than men with " traditional" fathers, who were either taught that " it's a woman's job to spoil us", or the father was physically there, but emotionally absent, and the son acts the same after he gets married. I saw that many times. I have a family member that apparently insisted on 50/50 while his wife was pregnant and then still on maternity leave. I was both baffled and appalled. Thankfully, they don't do that anymore, but people do not give pregnancy and child birth the reverence it's due. They treat it as if women don't die in either state. As if this isn't an emotionally, physically and mentally challenging time for most women. This is insanity to me. I passed a human being through me and now you wanna stress me out about finances? Looking up to my dad taught me to push through, set goals and reach them. While my ex who was raised by a single mom was exactly how you described: His mom worked hard, did everything for him, never learned him how to be independent and thought the was justified in doing nothing for me, because his mom sacrificed everything for him without ask for anything in return.

Of course it was only those 2 times. I paid the other bazillion months. He also liked to make fun of how "old" my car was, and how I should just "leave it unlocked because no one would ever care to steal it anyway". My family would lose their mind if I turned to them with this problem. I also say this as someone who’s mother worked, and my parents always had separated accounts their entire 45 year marriage. They never went 50/50. My dad paid all the bills and my mom paid for her car, and us kids. But if either one needed money they made it happen. The bills still got paid, and we were taken care of. She made a mistake getting married to him and having his kids. She should figure out a way to get on birth control, siphon some money aside in order to leave him after the child turns 6. I say 6 because the first several years in a child’s life are crutial to have both parents around. After that, it’s best not to be around a father who mistreats and financially abuses the mother. It would set a wrong example for later life behavioral patterns for the child.

You know how people say friendship is the foundation of a healthy relationship? They are all amazing friends so even though I know relationships can be more difficult for them I 100% trust that they would work through it in a healthy way! And I trust that you would too. An open-handed and benevolent man who is doing his best to make coin is the coolest. It makes me want to help him. In my worst relationships I was flush with cash and then men also made big salaries. They would only spend money to show off at dinner (I always picked up the tip though because I was afraid they wouldn't give the servers enough) and at Christmas. But for Christmas they usually demanded MORE in the way of pricy gifts and would get me tons of small cheap gifts from Ikea just so it made it LOOK like they gave me many gifts. Much more interested in men who give freely. Sadly, the cute and nice ones like that settle down so young! You young females are very lucky if your eyes are opened that quickly.

I feel like what’s worse than a man whose father left, is the man with married parents where the mother literally did EVERYTHING. Some men of single mothers actually want to make women’s lives better because in a way it honours their mother and they wish they were able to “save” their mother in this way. But I agree 100% it takes a LOT of due diligence and discernment to figure it out. I met a man whose mother was a SAHM, but she always seemed to regret it and talk down on herself because they didn’t have much money. He couldn’t even fathom a woman wanting this lifestyle. Also he knew he couldn’t really afford it so I could tell he would eventually be stingy.

A man who is rich and not generous serves you no purpose, you will spend the relationship trying to prove you aren't after his money, and that is a losing game. What is the purpose of his money if he won't spend it on you? Why are you telling me you have money sir to not spend on me?

And what men and most people don't understand that when women have children postpartum last seven years, the only reason why we only get a couple months to a year of maternity relief is because this country does not value human beings. This country values hustle, hustle hustle we had to fight for a maternity leave. Remember that

Dating with intention❤❤❤ thank you for you advice, Elle!! I’ve been on exciting & fun dates recently! The dinner date last night I was on with an established entrepreneur was lovely. A middle aged lady interrupted our dinner to compliment my dress & beauty… needless to say this pleased the man I was on a date with! That was my reminder to do the same for other ladies on dinner dates to keep these men knowing we are these prize ❤❤❤

Let me tell you ALL I HAD TO DO to find a man who will provide for me is to stop looking for looks! As soon as I did that, the right one fell into my life. I now have the option to be a stay at home girlfriend❤

I went on a date with a guy, and he chose the restaurant. When the bill came, we were splitting 50/50, but then he realized he forgot his card, had no cash, literally, he called his grandma about it. I ended up paying for the whole meal, and he said he would pay me back. How did he do this? He bought something of lesser value, for the BOTH of us.

I’m not sure I’ve ever met a man who truly loves and admired his father cause he was a genuinely good parent.

So incredibly true. My husband has never been rich but he makes a stable good living. I am always cared for first...I drive the nicer car, I've always got the nicest coat etc. Because he's generous and loves to share with me. I work as well which is important too. Anyone can get money being generous of spirit naturally can't be forced.

Thank you! That explains so much for why my husband was the way he was. I never could have measured up to his mom who raised six kids by herself. He regularly told me how she went to work very sick but I was lazy because I just had the flu

My husband isn’t rich but he’s A GOOD GOOD MAN he’s a great provider and he makes sure we are always good . I had to deprogram him though… and I was very open/honest about not having kids unless I can stay home with them. I’m a SAHM now . This woman’s husband is damn near a millionaire he needs to stop being a c*unt

Well said. A lot of younger women are making the mistake of believing that “provider man” means “rich man”. NO! “Provider men” means “man that is willing to provide for his woman and NOT rely on her for financial support”. I know many middle-class men that are providers, and I know rich men that are cheap, unwilling to spend money on their woman, AND require the woman to work even though he has more money than the GNP for 30 countries around the world.
