Inskip is piss easy you can do it in 2 wheel drive any time we went down as a convoy in ,79 series , mn triton and a Pathfinder all were in 2 wheel drive for most of the trip there
👍 Another great day at the point. Glad you don't put music over the top of it. Like to hear the natural sounds. Bloody annoying those youtubers who have loud doof doof over their vlogs.
looks at his partner, but but ronni said these are the best 4x4 on the market lol sadly for most noobs Ronni lives in 4x4s and been doing 4x4 tag along tours for 10 something years, he makes it look easy. and poor noobs think I can do that
OK i am a Pommie i lived in Bris vegas for 9 years used to take me FJ40 on the beach here, Rainbow, Inskip Bribiem can not ever remember getting stuck once, pulled a few out, 10 PSI, low range and off you go, just get out of me way when i am coming thru, traffic looks busier than it used to be, came back to FRASER IN 2018, hired a Pajero had a great time, it was August, so not the busiest time! love the channel, now subscribing best time of my life!!
They are extra big and extra heavy, the owners learn rather quickly to air down properly, as it is bloody embarising getting a 200k yank tank bogged infront of drunk bogans
I had an 90 4Runner i sas the front and 5.29 front and rear with lockers, (both 8 inch axles). I ran 37 and was never quite happy with it. I bought a completely stock 2000 chevy tahoe. On 265s it out performed my Toyota on everything. 4Runner only achieved better fuel economy and not by much.
I love the muppets in the newer 4WD's who don't turn of traction control and sit there with their 44psi tyres barley spinning them deeper and deeper into the powder, wondering why they have no go.
Never underestimate the bare basics of 4WD in beach situations... Tyre pressures. Loads. Momentum. Preparation/pre-planning. And above all... Common sense!. Do those things & you should be fine... R.
@@northernbeachesguy3245 their people too, who's the first you call when you're house gets broken into. Sorry mate can't help you. Stuck in the sand where you left me...grow up.
That white Disco2 @ 19:15 is still rumoured to be 'maxtracking' his way across Fraser LOL Airing down and more right foot would do him wonders, even with the TCS.
That guy in the Hilux must be doing it all wrong. Mine is exactly the same model.. No issues. Tyres pressures and correct gear and power means everything
If you are too incompetant to board the ferry, you have no busines on australias largest sand island. Trial by fire, there are no sealed roads on the island learn to drive on sand or turn around and go home
Do people let down their tyres and still get bogged? Whenever I’m in sand I go down to about 15 or 10, and I’ve always been ok. No peanut gallery in Arnhem Land to make fun of misfortune though...
This is little known . . the Japanese built a road across the Owen Stanley range . . PNG . . they were smart & tough buggers always , the road stopped near Port Morseby . . it was a close run thing
Half the problem is these ‘RU-vid experts’ preaching that 22psi or so is airing down. I ran Fraser at 12psi, lower EGR temps, better fuel economy, never got bogged towing a trailer
Methinks the Disco should've dropped the tyre pressures. It does amaze me how people will drag out recovery tracks quickly but never the tyre deflator and gauge.
Might as well drive train wheels. First mod you should do to any new 4wd if you’re wanting to do sand driving would be the biggest mud tyres you can fit with stock lift
@@thatsgangsta2450 not true. Mud tyres are unnecessary unless you actually go mudding, they're also worse on sand because they dig in rather than float on top.
Just drove around Fraser for a week in a stock triton and didn’t get bogged once. It’s not rocket science, air down and keep moving. Everyone gets bogged I get it, but at least give yourself the best chance. Also spent half an hour trying to help young blokes at ngala rocks, totally ignored all advice and refused to dig themselves because of the heat. Later boys 👋
9:20 I dont know how people do it getting bogged at the start even, was just there today I even stalled it (on my ls just got my licence) and still got out with ease
