There wouldn’t be any debate as to who the goat of wr’s is. I still have Randy as mine despite his off the field issues and attitude. Pure talent, he was untouchable. I just believe Moss, Owen’s, and Johnson were all more naturally gifted and talented. Not taking anything away from rice, but those 3 were just seemingly unstoppable. Size, speed, hands, contested catches. 2 of them were just absolute divas
I just wish Randy had more time with Tom. Think about that one...the 07 team over 5-6 years? OUCH! I witnessed the practice against the Cowboys in October 2007. They lit up Cowboys Stadium! My only game there ever!!
Proud of you Moss, I remember seeing that for the first time and was moved & absolutely positively believed 100% that you deserved that. Good job my man👍👍
@@jonnyblayze5149 doesn’t work like that in football and they were en route to one but then one of the most amazing plays in the history of sports occurred.
I absolutely despise the Patriots, but Randy is that dude. I wish he had a QB like Brady for just half of his prime years. The numbers he would've put up would've been completely untouchable.
That was my favorite moment of the night. There was nothing planned. Just our love and respect. I think we made it clear as a fan base that WE WANT MOSS in the Pats HOF. Once a Patriot Always a Patriot. #noquit
Randy definitely represents the small black American culture in West Virginia that have never purposely had a problem with brothers or sisters from other mother's !
@@Frank-KO That was a big up to the state of West Virginia ! Lol because of what people say about it. What are you talking about ? You better read the history and what he went through in the state of West Virginia. And how his mother responded to him about the state of West Virginia and his family members that respectably still live there. Things that not only made him a great player in the NFL but a great person period. I've been following this kid since he was in high school he overcame social and cultural issues .That's why he had tears in his eyes because of the appreciation from patriot fans me as one. That will always be bigger than any championship he could have ever won in the NFL !
Hes such a legends that the equivalent to people saying "Kobe" when shooting the ball in basketball is "Dont get Moss'ed" or "Ill Moss you" in football.
The whole world thought he lost a step. Then, like you said, BOOM! We (yes, I consider myself part of the organization LOL) only gave up a 4th rounder for Moss. Crazy he was in his 10th or 11th season at that time 🤯🤯🤯
@Randymoss you are the goat at the wr position & you & Tom had something very special together!! I wish you had played longer with the Patriots and had won a SUPERBOWL with you on the team. I mean yall went 17-0 in 2007 but lost in the SUPERBOWL & that broke my heart as a diehard Patriots fan since 92-93 when the uniforms changed & the helmet too. I can only imagine how you felt after that game. Yall should've won but that miracle catch by I believe David tyree, was insane but I thought it would've been incomplete being that the ball hit the ground but he had & I guess held position of the ball. Or the referee should've blew the whistle when Eli was being held & almost sacked in the back field for like 3 seconds, if that would've been any other game or quarterback I believe they would have blown the whistle & that would've been the game & a W for the Patriots
I think what made that offense so special is actually Randy’s one “weakness” of a limited route tree was completely covered by Welkers weakness of a lack of deep routes. When you have arguably the top deep ball catcher of all time paired with arguably the best slot receiver of all time you can’t gameplan for one. Take away the deep ball welkers going 10 catches over 100 yards, take away the middle and moss is going 7 for 150 and 2 tds
As a sales rep one day in a store near Charleston WV I talked with a guy that had played high school football with Randy, I asked was he that good, he said Randy at idle was better than anyone he’d ever seen at full bore, but Randy was a little crazy and knew he was great and would run over you if you made him mad.
I’m a Broncos fan from WAAAY BACK. I was ANGRY when the Giants beat the undefeated Patriots in that SB. That Patriots team was the best team of all time. So what they lost 1 game
Randy left NE because of his antics... He's got a lot of trauma from his early days and small town. He goes down as a great WR only. His legacy is cemented, but no where to the Greatness of Jerry Rice!!
Unstoppable till they met Eli and that defensive line. Not even a giants fan but watching the 9-7 giants beat the 18-0 patriots was the coolest thing evet
Damn, until this day, i have thoughts of regret that there are some past patriots players despite their success, who were unable to get a ring, Moss, Mankins and Seau.
Man…. The way He left NE though Wowwzers We didn’t see that coming after the amazing 1st few seasons in NE To think , MOSS’s #’s could & should be better Oakland was a waist of Prime MOSS
That O-line allowed 5 seconds of pass protection on average and gave up 4 sacks all season….. those 4 sacks came in the Super Bowl vs the giants. That O-line is what allowed that unbelievable success…. And give Randy moss 5 seconds to run open, SHOOOOO FORGET ABOUT IT!! No one’s covering him for that long lol
I think Patriots Nation took to Randy because he knew he was in a bad situation in Oakland. The way he came to New England by way of clandestine meeting with TB12
Videos of Randy in a Patriot uniform just goes to show how incompetent the front office for the Vikings really is. Couldnt find a QB to get him the ball if their life depended on it. Way to go Speilman.🙄🙄
The first air raid offense???!! These boys need to learn the game. Totally skipped the 84 dolphins or 04 colts. Manning had 49, with 100 less attempts than bradys 50…why is that? BC TOM PLAYED THE WHOLE GAME WHEN THEY WERE UP 45-0 lol. Peyton had way more class, had games where he’d play 3 snaps after halftime then would sit lol. Beady chased manning his whole career
