I wrote this song in response to Pastor Jarrid Wilson's death. He was a Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship who struggled with mental illness and expressed his difficulties publicly. Mental illness plagues our society. We need to do what we can to continue the conversations we are having and be honest with ourselves and those around us. Please seek help 1-800-273-8255

Nathan Nix I had talked to Jarrid about my struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts. Jarrid (as usual) smiled and told to me a lot of very encouraging, kind, generous, and loving words. He told me to not give up. Because God’s always faithful and that He would move mountains, over and over again. Monday 9th, I had such a bad day at work and I had been struggling with a lot of pressure and anxiety, was so ready to end my life, and I remembered the words that Jarrid told me. The words that God put in Jarrid’s mouth. God used Jarrid in so many ways to help so many people. Found out that they day after I didn’t take away my life Jarrid had died because he committed suicide. It brakes my heart in so many ways. Indescribable ways that can’t be understood. But God has the answers. And Hope will always have the last word. Love has a name; Jesus. Pls react to the “Empires” Album by Hillsong UNITED. that album has helped me in a process of healing and acknowledging God’s presence by worshipping his glory and mercy. love u bro
