You'll Definitely Die With Regrets 

When I see your uploads, I feel conflicted about clicking on them, because I don't like confronting the difficult parts of life and maturity (e.g. everyone) but I do so anyways, because you're kind and make yourself just as vulnerable as I feel. Thank you for your sincerity and maturity, its a wonderful thing to have, and an even better thing to share.

Regret cannot exist without a wish. But what are we without it? It seems to me that leaving this world without any regrets is not in our own hands. What we can do is to wish for small things, so that our regrets are also small.

Some nights I’m completely fine if not relaxed at the possibility of death, but other nights I try and fight it off thinking of everything I want and have to do. In the anime bungo stray dogs, the character dazi is portrayed as a somewhat insane person with a suicide obsession, but at the end he explains how he wants to experience the last mystery of life. I think that’s a really interesting way to think of it. Death is an inevitable mystery, and I guess to some extent I want to experience it too, just not right now. I’ve been thinking about death a lot recently cause I’m going through some major mindset/belief changes, but the idea that, for the most part, death is out of my hands somewhat calms me. I also feel like I’ve lived a full life, not fulfilling but full of events, memories, struggles, and the art I’ve made and have gotten to see and hear from other artists. I’ve felt and done a lot, and that outweighs the myriad of things I want to do but haven’t.

There is an interesting thing to consider when talking about becoming one's ideal self- I think sometimes it can actually create more suffering when one is constantly striving to be the best (either best out of everyone or even the best version of themselves) because really that can cause a lot of confusion or disappointment because in some sense it's impossible to be so ideal and perfect and there is so much that is out of our control

It doesn't matter what you miss or achieve, if you lived your best or worst life. There are no "what if's", no "had I acted differently". Tose scenarios do not exist , it's just in your head a figment of your immagination. Hence there is nothing to regret, it's been your life, for better or for worse, and that's all there is to it

I think if I was only allowed to put one thing in a time capsule as advice for future generations, it would be your channel. Thanks for showing me how to live. It's genuinely changed my world. Thank you Fads, God bless you.

I swear i was meant to die earlier. having had multiple near death experiences, some intentional some by accident, i had multiple chances to accept my vices and be grateful for what i had in life thus far. My life is not great and not bad. im on the lower side of mediocre. but im happy about it. I also feel shame at the same time. i am guilty of "leeching off life" since im still around and not doing patticularly amazing. I was giving chance after chance to keep on living. Somehow i still miss and yearn for that peace i had during those near death experiences. Peace and a promised finish line is quite motivating for me. I dont want an endless grind. I dont feel accomplished after a load of successfull work. I dont get happy when i finish a project, im relieved. I would love to just float in nothingness, no meaning, no expectations. In that way no matter what i do in life, i will have no regret when dying because i have been given my reward. I would just kinda like to know when yknow hehe idk if that makes sense to anyone else though.

Hi 🤟🏽 newtuber here I agree with a lot of thins you said, I believe its incredibly important to let go of perfectionism, materialism, a lot of isms really. Maybe we are simply too attatched to unsubstantial things in society 🤷🏾‍♀️ Live your life to the fullest 💜

Funny how you go over this because I just had a dream last night about a mob that was about to kill me. It's weird because I was scared and I didn't want to die so young. I always thought I was indifferent about death. I thought I actually kind of wanted it because it means I wouldn't have to fulfill my responsibilities nor suffer from my loneliness. But in that dream, I've had a few regrets moments before they kill me- I regretted pushing away friends, sacrificing my happiness, and being obedient to my parents. I'm not being true to myself and some part of me still thinks that it's a necessary sacrifice- not everyone can be who they want to be. Idk

I don't have regrets because regrets fall into a sort of wishful thinking I find unhealthy. I believe we generally make the best decisions we can based on our makeup (i.e. we are products of our brain) and the circumstances we reside in. We cannot go back in time and change decisions we make and so spending anytime regretting those decisions is a waste of time and life IMO. I think the most healthy thing to do is to learn from your "mistakes" so you don't repeat them, and to not waste your time with something as unproductive and unhealthy as regret.

I'll have regrets if I wasted my life spending too much time in the laziness. I'm not even talking about work more, I don't like it. The idea is to enjoy the world and people, instead of looking through the phone spend some time looking to a usual landscape

weirdly enough, checklists insired by reversing these 5 regrets into 5 joys were the most life-changing and full-filling I've ever had. it's funny - checlkists may seem cheesy, dumb, whatever, but any actual step taken felt just right and most real. it's up to us whether to follow these daily, every 5th day, or annually but it's probably the only system i can widely recommended. even writing this feel good because it makes me remember all the great things I've done and or let to happen because of "dumb checklist" inspired by this.

notes: should we have regrets when get close to death? if we regret too much we are blind. if we we regret too little we are blind. dont regret what could not have been otherwise. regret the risks u didnt take. regret lacking fortitude and bravery. regret hurting people so much they left u. regret not extending forgiveness to that person that mattered. dont let stress cause u to forget ur blessings and how pleasant simple things can be. quit quietly? do the minimum to get by and survive with the ones you love. family and good friends. temporary pain doesnt become a life long regret. give up the short term. dont run from committment. embrace gradual chronic suffering which perfects the soul with self mastery
