I couldn't agree more!! I shot a coyote that had a pup.. I had the little guy for a year and a half. Willie turned out a great dog. But being on a farm, his natural instincts became to much. He never hurt any of our animals, but chasing dairy cattle, more out of enjoyment I would guess? Didn't work.. Gifted to a forever home..
I'm a 70 yr old yooper from Michigan U.P. and has trapped for 40 years. I've cought coon. As a fellow trapper coon travel as a family so i let all female and young ones go but harvest the big old bores. Just started seeing coyotes here and if I catch anything different from the other coyotes ill cut its ear so ill remember it (like that black one you shown in your video) i would take it home alive and cage it to find a BLK mate to breed to. White possum get top dollar. This is another one to cage and breed. l understand your trapping for others so your helping the land owners.

Bless you. As a fellow christian, hunter, and rancher I love this message. As I see the rual areas branch out and take over the wildlife population in east Texas, I stopped hunting the local coyotes and leave out food for them. Haven't lost a calf in 2 years, the coons stay out of the feed bins, and the opossums dont get in the hay barn. A few bowls of dog food at the fence line keeps them all at bay. Great message, great naming of the yote, and great values shared!!
I am not a Christian nor consider myself a religious man, yet I wholeheartedly appreciate the gesture of what you did. That coyote didnt ask for the lot that life gave him, didn't intend for his pursuits to collide with our human ones, he is simply living how his nature requires him to. To show mercy to a fellow being, whether their interests are aligned or in opposition of our own, is a mark of the highest conduct a person can aspire to hold themself to. Acts like yours are what give credence to the notion of being "humane".
@@AsTheWheelsTurn Not a saint, but a good man it seems. From my view, this act of not ending this individual coyote's life shows he appreciates the species as part of a larger whole. I'll bet if you gave him a button that would eradicate all coyote on earth, including his problem ones, he wouldn't press it. I hate coyotes! They destroy a healthy ecosystem if not kept in check. This vid just made me stop & think about life in general. American people are having to fight to stay free & seems government is trying to abolish the word of God, well it's just awesome to hear someone thank the one who's responsible for our existence.

I would like to think the message is more than mercy, I believe the message is no matter how bad of a situation you find yourself in [ the coyote ] if you trust and believe in the man above things will work out in the end. Awesome. Similar reason why I let small fish go. And big fish go. Nature needs the coyote to keep the other wildlife in check. But too many they have to go.... totally off topic but I've noticed coyotes in other parts of our country are small. Around here that would be a real young dog. The adults are the size of German shepards. Would never be able to grab one like that.
@@dieseldabz7104 yeh I heard of the coywolf. I live in Northern Illinois and heard of a population of them near some guys property. But yeah around here they are a big size. I have packs come threw my yard every night. Catch them on my trail cams. And even some pass threw during the day. Last winter I had a white 3 legged coyote come threw. Never seen something like that before

What a touching and real life example of what we deserved bur escaped due to that same grace and mercy from our father. I own a 500 ac track of land in western ky and have just started trapping this year to control nesting preditors and the canines. By God's mercy, grace and love I trusted Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour just over 70 years ago. I have served him all these years - the past 48 as a Bible believing pastor.
