I get that it was 20 years ago when me and my girlfriends were on the dating scene but when a man offered to buy one of us a drink, that's what he did, buy *the one he was interested in* a drink. Being good friends means letting that happen and being happy for your friend, not bitter and jealous and ''Oh I must tag along!!!"
It'd be funny if they got served nonalcoholic drinks without being told it, so when they still acted like a couple drunks you knew it them acting like this was all on them.

Years ago, I went on an online date and met with her at a coffee shop. She also brought her obnoxiously loud friend who said, "Yeah, we do everything together, wooo", because "that's how we do things". I bought them both coffees and was surprised I left after 15-30 minutes; I politely said it was nice to meet them, then left. I believe the girl I like wanted to meet again, but I thought I wanted to meet her, not the in-your-face bestie, especially if they do everything together.

I have never gone to a club or a dance bar as I am so introverted and socially anxious. I have always wondered about the type of people I could meet there. After this one, I feel that I am better off in my room with my books and snacks.

What a shame that guy gave them free drinks. I don't go to bars at all, but as a guy I don't just give away money or material possessions to young ladies who just happen to be physically attractive. They've got to earn it.
