Had a friend of mine (Navy PO1) meet a woman in Pensacola and slept with her. In the morning he sees this picture of her with this man in a Commander's uniform. He asks her who that is, and she says, "Oh, that's my husband. He's the XO of the USS Lexington."😱😱😱
This is hilarious, this is also too common with women cheating on their husbands/boyfriends who are currently in the military. Even if she was to say “Oh we have an understanding, he said I can sleep with other men while he’s deployed”, I’d be like “Naw I’m good”, ESPECIALLY if you got a WHOLE ASS PICTURE of him next to your bed. 🤣🤣🤣

Happened to me long time ago. Didn't find out she had a bf until afterwards. Not to mention that he was a SEAL. At first I thought, "oh, shit!" But then he came back from deployment after several months. We all stayed roommates until I got a place of my own. He never said anything when he got home. I just played it cool and we stayed friends. I think he knew what was going on but it kept her straight until he got back. She was a bit of a freak and I think he worried she was messing with the whole base club. Freaked me out when he told me he had a background check done on me. They broke up about 2 years after we moved into a bigger place and she went back to where she grew up in the midwest. Soon after, I got another gf and moved into another place. Ah, memories. 😎
I know exactly who Gary Owen is. I noticed that there were quite a few mentions of Shane Gillis. I don't know who that is and had nothing to compare. I trust that Gary is better.

It’s not like people can have similar experiences, right? Even comedians will admit it’s a tricky thing; having similar thoughts and experiences a the way the joke is told.

Not even close. Shane’s bit is about ex boyfriends and jokes on hating on what they used to do. Completely different his joke wasn’t good like Shane’s but wayyyy different
And that's why you don't need to watch clips if you watch this entire bit you would've known the context. Also Gary literally talks about this all the time a lot of comedians think the same so joke premises be similar however Shane joke is not even close to this especially when you watch it in context and if you knew Gary he actually was in the navy which is what he is talking about here
