YOU'RE MAKING EVERYONE UNCOMFORTABLE !! - New Jersey - First Amendment Audit - Amagansett Press
U.S. Constitution NOT void where prohibited by law !!
We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. Props to the lady who really tried to actually understand the situation that was presented in front of her, she was actually giving the time to hear you and to hear your point of view along with the actual laws of the situation. More people need to be open minded like her

I work for the post office and I wish someone would come do this at our office cause I’d love to educate people that it’s your right to glum anything and everyone in public spaces unless others r posted! So some of us government workers do have Brains and love that people like you who are doing what you do and educate people that we have rights that are being infringed on more and more everyday! Losing those rights one by one! It’s really sad!!! Keep up the great work!

Making the move to supervisor from your current position at the Post Office is usually not a wise move. The money is not that much better to have to deal with complaints and to have to treat the people below you like crap like they teach you. Lots of times, the dumbest person in the office takes the job as supervisor.

I'm a current postal employee, and I know my rules and regulations. These employees don't know anything about poster 7 or they just don't care. It's embarrassing. Also, DHS has a memo giving the citizens permission to film in federal building.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I’m a current Postal Employee as well poster 7 does not give people the right to record it specifically states to record you need the postmaster previous authorization to record but no one reads the small print

@@twocyclediesel1280 No, the complaint is that there is a member of public, they're outside of the building, operating a camera that is pointed at the building, and it's illegal to record the building... How would you need to be inside to record the outside? Please, if you're going to attempt to use the word "logically" then wait until your care giver gets home so they can help you to use it in an appropriate way, it's not my duty to hold your hand and spoon feed you.

It's expected to see regular citizens who don't understand their rights or the law but, with all the years of first amendment audits taking place, it's inexcusable that postal employees and all public employees haven't been retrained on the laws regarding filming in public. I said similar on Watchmans community post yesterday. The post office has sent memos to the postmasters addressing 1A audits specifically and the postmasters ignore them rather than educating their staff. Ridiculous that after all the auditors and audits of post offices that you still have these postal karens trying to make up the rules.

it's not limited to any "one" generation. It's more of a left vs. right - or - even better: Read about R vs K theory in biology. The "Safety in numbers" weaker people crowd = "Don't film me DUDE BRO!" - Notice that the attractive people don't care - and infact - many enjoy the attention and have fun with it. Then: the checklist Karen with the checklist glasses and all of the checklist "accessories" like strange hair, strange mannerisms, etc = "don't' film me!" - It's really just symptomatic of people with psychological issues - mainly - narcissism - as most grewup without fathers - so narcissism is a lifelong subscription model they'll take to the grave in stead of seeking real/actual talk therapy to get over the broken family trauma (which - nobody wants to talk about in the US - it's truly a place where: "yeah I'm open minded UNLESS you want to talk about fatherlessness, the federal reserve, the world economic forum, antitrust legislation enforcement, monopoly/oligopoly power"

Amen .The travel channel is the closest I'll ever get to the other side of the pond. Had a chance to go with my mom to Ireland. To research my ancestry. To scared to fly. Even in the states. I'm 63 now and don't travel to far anymore.I used to b a truck driver. In my 30s . Plus raised military so we traveled all over US by plane and car. If she read Poster 7 she would know that filming is not allowed in a postal building and it is not a federal government branch and has not been since it was privatized in 1971 and was turned into a private corporation with an 11 member board to run it. It receives no federal tax dollars which means they can set their own rules just like any private business can

I respectfully dissagree, looked like she was looking at it to prove Jason wrong and thats why she ignored him at the end and then when he went in to ask if they called the police the second time she took the customers package and moved it in front of her face so Jason could not see her right when Jason was asking her a question which she is obligated by her job duty to answer and she barely did that time then at the end she ignored Jason again. Shes an in the closet tyrant 100% most likely related to the China Communist Party of fools.

I was standing in line recently overhearing an individual ask a specific question of an official representative of the corporation and after the official answer the “customer” cited what someone else said to answer that question. In effect questioning the official answer. People are just plain nuts these days.

@@superwaffle01 thats how education works. she was looking at the rules, trying to figure out if they are doing something wrong or not. ofc she cant just take their word for it. if they are wrong, or just straight up lie, she could lose her job. so she was reading everything carefully, word for word, trying to make sense of it all. once she saw that there isnt anything that they can do, she went back inside, without making a big deal out of it.

Well every fraudster has a following. However this clown is 100% wrong. It is illegal to film in a post office and has been since 1971 when the postal service was privatized (No longer a federal agency it is a Quasi part of government). It is run by an 11 member board who make their own rules. The postal service receives no tax dollars (public places do-thus since the post office collects no federally funded dollars or tax dollars THEY ARE A PRIVATE CORPORATION and not included in all this freedom to record in a public building nonsense. You are to not allowed to record in a post office without written permission and the request for permission has to be granted 2 weeks in advance, you are not allowed to film postal employees or customers. And the postal service has given Documentary film makers a classification as non professional the same designation as a high school paper reporter. Also in 2022 the postal service has been authorized by the board to contract with local and state police to respond to post offices when these trespassers arrive and refuse to leave. They will be authorized to make arrests on the postal services behalf. That policy is 40 USC 13165 (d) (3). The postal service has had enough of its employees being bullied and harassed, and these brave frauditors were only going to small town post offices where they knew there were no postal police to stop the harassment, the bullying and terrorism. Now they may be arrested by local or state police

Funny story I was on a business trip in Lakeland Fl, I needed to overnight a letter so I did an internet search for a post office. I drive to the address and walked in with the overnight letter. One of the employees smiled when I found my self in a gun shop! The name of the Gun Shop was the Postal Connection. I was redirected to the post office. 🤣🛫
