Thank you so much! I really love Egypt, and I want to show everyone the way it is here, to paint a REAL picture of the country, not just instagramy clips of flowing dresses in front of the Pyramids of Giza or a cup of coffee at an expensive hotel with palm trees in the background. Egypt can be rough, raw, and chaotic, yet she is also calm, quiet and beautiful. I love both parts of her, all parts of her. Many people are afraid to travel solo here, and there's no need for it. It may be chaotic at times, but it's safe, and can definitely be adventurous. I want to show real Egypt, the Egypt I have come to know and love, and do my best to show it ❤ I appreciate your kind words 🙏🙏

Oh that's awesome! Hurghada is a perfect place to have a nice relaxing vacation by the sea, I am sure you'll love it. I'm happy to hear you booked a day trip to Luxor too, because the inland cities and villages are so different from the beach and coastal towns, so you will have a taste of what most of Egypt is like (the majority of the population in Egypt all live along the Nile River). Also, Luxor is just packed with history, it's absolutely mind blowing. And I hope you are able to visit again with your husband! So many incredible wonders to see in Egypt, stunning landscapes, delicious food, and beautiful music. Enjoy your trip, and thank you for watching! 😁🙏

Top video! Meidum and the Middle Kingdom pyramids you’re going to next are on my list of places to visit next time I’m in Egypt, which hopefully won’t be too far off. If you’re open to suggestions about where to go to next, how about Tanis in the north east Nile Delta?
@Gventures
@Gventures 5 месяцев назад
Badass man! Meidum is AMAZING, top experience for me in Egypt, my new favorite site. A huge part has to do with the fact I was the only one there. Having ancient sites to yourself is RARE in Egypt, and absolutely incredible when you get to have it. But not only that, climbing through mastaba 17 was really fun, and the knowledge it was built by grave robbers thousands of years ago really just heightens that sense of adventure. Love, love, loved it. These pyramids out here are awesome because I'm basically the only one here, no other foreigners or even Egyptian tourists, it's just me and the guards. I am open to suggestions, and actually Tanis is already on my radar! But it won't be anytime soon for that trip, I already have a trip planned in maybe March or April, heading northeast of Cairo 😎

3.5 ton lid? How did they lift it in such a tight space? Imagine how those grave robbers managed to crawl through that small tunnel, they couldn't be built like oxen or else they wouldn't fit. I suppose the prospect of finding treasure would give anyone an insane boost of strength lol

It's incredible. So many wonders of ancient Egypt remain shrouded in mystery and continue to stun us till today. They truly were a great civilization. I wish I could time travel 😩😂 Yah those grave robbers really wanted that gold. I wonder how long it took them to dig it, and if they needed a lookout, or if that wasn't necessary back when there were less people 😅
@ntluck1592
@ntluck1592 4 месяца назад
@@Gventures Nah, I'm confident that those robbers were probably sponsored by the local nobility. I read somewhere that Tomb Raiding was an actual profession until the times of Byzantium when the tombs were running out. Sounds like an epic profession but I bet there were a lot of skeletons that had to be cleared up as they would not be cool for tourists to see
@Gventures

Your Fayoum series was one of the best so far! It's amazing how many incredible places you can find in Egypt, that are completely empty, because the tourists don't know about them. Have you heard about the Seila pyramid? It was built by Snefru as well and it is in the Fayoum area. Maybe you'll visit it one day, there are no videos of it as far as I know and very few photos. A fun fact about the Meidum pyramid is that there are two more chambers above the lower antechambers. They have have been discovered in the years 1999/2000 by drilling and using endoscopic cameras. The flat roofs of the antechambers could not take the weight of the pyramid above, so these chambers, which have corbels, have been built in order to support the weight above. Another fun fact is that a later intrusive burial has been found inside the corridor of the small mortuary temple you visited. They just walled up the entrances and left the mummy there. And yes, the cop at the entrance asked us for a tip as well🤣
@Gventures
@Gventures 5 месяцев назад
Are you Egyptian? Seila pyramid?? I have never heard of it! I know of Hawara and Lahun, but never even heard the name Seila. Will be looking that up now! Cool facts about Meidum, can't believe there's a mummy still in there! 😯
@mariangheti1327
@mariangheti1327 5 месяцев назад
@@Gventures Nope, I'm from Romania, but I was obsessed with ancient Egypt all of my life and because of that I studied Egyptology. To be honest, I heard about the Seila pyramid a few months ago, while I was doing my reading for my incoming trip to Egypt. Turns out Snefru worked on a total of four pyramids, which is pretty mind blowing. I think my claim was a bit confusing, the mummy is no longer in the mortuary temple, I was referring to the Egyptians who used it as a burial ground, they just walled up the entrances, put the mummy in there and called it a tomb. As far as I know, the holes on the outer walls of mastaba 17 were also later intrusive burials. I've heard mummies can still be seen in the muzakawa tombs, west of Luxor. I hope to get there one day, though it's quite a long drive.

Ya Gigi..it is official..you have overtaken that lazy Indiana Jones and now should be crowned the real, true adventurer of lost treasures😊. Honestly i am in awe of your sense of adventure and bravery. These ancient Egyptians were a far superior race..God's true chosen people. Their knowledge was lost but traces of their brilliance remain. I was on the edge of my seat watching this. Crazy girl..magnoona but bravo. @travelwithchris needs to watch this. I genuinely have never seen any Egyptian travel video showing this kind of raw footage. Most are busy bitching about the salespeople at the pyramids so they can get views. Girlfriend you need to hook up with Dr. Zahi Hawass and friends as well as the Ministry of Tourism. You love Egypt more than many Egyptians😊. Stay safe hon!

Lots of scammers, one can recognise Egyptians ,as soon as they start with their honey filled words 😉. Only LIES..😂

Oh, I don't think that's a fair representation of Egypt. There are scammers in the tourism industry all over the world. Egyptians themselves are very warm, generous and welcoming people. Many "content creators" on the internet just want to get views so they make videos about Egypt titled "SCAM!" and while some of them are true (yes of course there are scammers), some of them are just people trying to sell the tourist something and the tourist freaking out like it's the end of the world. Ridiculous, if you ask me. Those "creators" and just looking for views. My experience in Egypt in the last 2.5 years that I have been living here is nothing like that

@@whistlebirdproductions6249 Yeah this place is a hidden gem, I don't think many people hear about it while researching for their trip, so it's still pretty unknown. It's perfect. I love sites with no tourists, it's another reason I love the local markets, the tourists don't go in there 😅 Bab Zuweila in Cairo is another cool site with very few tourists. Any ancient site is awesome, but it becomes that much better when you're virtually the only one exploring it. Btw I found your channel and subscribed. Now make more videos 😄
