Absolutely gorgeous! Love this case shape, lug system, and dial layout + handset! Full lume dial looks awesome, too!

First time watching one of your videos, what a unique and interesting piece. I quite like the shape of the case, and the semi seperated lugs

I also don't think the price is unreasonable given that it's a totally custom design from the ground up, no generic China factory stuff here.

Oh awesome - thanks for that. William did say that a viewer suggested he reach out to me, but didn’t say who it was. Good to know mate!!

Very cool. Bit of a different design. The dial is huge, but the time section is small. The watch is just a little bit too large of a spread with those arms. Cheers!!

Hi Ivan, How are you mate? It is smoking hot in Los Angeles in July. They say that it will be the hottest July ever.... Ever around the world I heard.... I believe that it is the coldest winter in Perth now. I truly envy you, ha ha. As for this watch, it is a very interesting watch, in design perspective. Something unique and different which can be a "pro" but also a "con". I guess that only time will tell how they do with this type of watch. Of course, I wouldn't pay $200 for this ONLY BECAUSE it is not in my taste. But certainly an interesting piece. I like the design concept of the lug, how it connects. But it would have been better if buyers can change to different straps, such as mesh or even other metal, silicone straps. I am sure that they can re-design the connection which shouldn't be difficult. (but if this does not sell, of course, they wouldn't spend any more money for re-tooling and designing, obviously) Fun to look at, fun to wear for few days or few weeks, but I suppose that we might get easily bored with the design and never get to see the light from you watch box. (and if you want to re-sell it?! That would be a real challenging task) At least, I got to give a prop to the company that they have the courage to come up with this. Again, good seeing you again, Ivan and have a wonderful day!!!

Hey hey! Oh yeah I hear that climate change has hit hard this year with many days of record breaking temperatures across the northern hemisphere summer! And some would still have us believe it's all fake news...!? Perth winter this year is rather moderate - certainly not the coldest, we aren't breaking any records here.
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
Yeah good point about the potential resell... I won't be hoping for a $1000 if and when it comes to that!

Two drawbacks to the straps are long lug to lug width making it less wearable on smaller wrists (looked a bit large on your wrist) also it looked highly polished so won't attaching the straps scratch the case? Also wish the clasp were signed or had a logo. At this price purchasers will be picky about the details.
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
Yes, the lug to lug is indeed large. There are grooves to attach the straps but you can indeed scratch the case if not careful (in which you can scratch the case, anytime). There is no clasp on this watch.

An interesting piece, a very fine line between being different and being horrible. Its a very large case with a very small dial. The scond han looks good, the others not so great. I noticed it not sitting flat on the wrist. You are limited to those straps and I really don't like leather I find it sweaty and sticky and unless it's uncomfortably tight it rotates around my wrist, could be some of that going on with this. The Sellita is a good thing but pretty much anything would do, I couldn't see anyone using it as a daily.
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
Thanks for the thoughts Phil - yeah there are certainly some issues here. I think they do have a wider range of straps but yes, limited to whatever range the company provides. Interesting view on leather - I do think that a good quality leather is the most comfortable of all as it is breathable and supple, but with the major weakness of low durability. This ain't no daily wearer given the lack of water resistance and leather.

Really love the uniqueness of this watch from top to bottom ... a bit out of my price range ... think it would be better priced in the Christopher Ward territory $1kish USD. Thank you for showing this to us. I hope it is very successful because I love the design work here. Agree about the caseback being lighter so we can see decoration on the movement.

Interesting ... not sure it has the brand chops for the price
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
Yeah that’s certainly a point of contention. What do you think would be the highest price a micro-brand can reasonably charge?
@karlsenula9495
@karlsenula9495 Год назад
If this brand had more watch exposure/longevity and other models previously sold I think this in a very limited edition would be worth the price (look what Christopher Ward did with their chiming watch) but without that I wish it was a bit less expensive ($1kish) around Christopher Ward regular micro-brand price to begin with. But I do hope it sells and is successful even at this price because I love the design risks that were done top to bottom here.

I love unusual watches, but I don't love that. If it had an NH35 I would say it's worth about $200

Umm...is there any reason at all why they couldn't use regular spring bars where the straps connect to the arms to allow us to change straps? Or is this a money grab feature?
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
Take a look at the design and have a think - how would you possibly use regular spring bars here?? The idea was to be different and allow that super quick change I think.
@slewisau
@slewisau Год назад
I agree standard springbars would never work here.

$1,400 for that, it’s only 3 bar. Maybe if it had a realistic price it could find its market.
@PerthWAtch
@PerthWAtch Год назад
I don’t think 3 bar is the issue here… million dollar Patek Philippes can be 3 bar.
