This song brings comfort to my soul. I was bullied by 4 boys for 7 uears and honestly lost hope. The message has to be spread that bullying must stop and parents need to talk to their kids and make sure they understand that it has to stop.

I was in their position once. I was all alone every day I'd sit alone at lunch on the band hallway floor until one of my friends from church whom I hadn't spoken with for two years came to me and made my life a whole lot better. Sometimes we do need a push.😇✨

I was bullied consistently, near daily until 8th grade, and it happened across many different schools. Between 7th and 8th grade, I grew a lot and became one of the largest guys in the school. This was when it stopped. It should not take physical superiority to stop bullying. Everybody needs to know that there's others out there just like them that they can talk to. Everybody needs to know that they have friends now and forever if they just look. Spread the message. It needs to end.

This song is beautiful and the lesson shines throughout the whole thing. I know that there are countless people who take this song to heart, because wow that message is strong enough to open the heart and help people realize that no matter how hard parts of their lives are, there is always someone who understands and they can always turn to someone, even if it isn't the person they expect. Sometimes life can seem cruel and it might seem like no one cares about you, but that doesn't mean you aren't loved. There will always be someone who knows what it is like and once felt or still feel your pain, and of all the people that are blind enough to not see the light that radiates from you, there will always be someone who sees you and will remember the person that you are. You are not alone, and you never will be, because if someone you don't know is kind enough to ask if you are okay, than that shows that you aren't as invisible as you think you are. If you have had a bad day recently, I hope the song and this message cheered you up, because I know that everyone feels pain, and people can grow from that. That means that you might grow from it too, and your heart will shine brighter than before. I hope you have a great day.

My show choir is doing this song next year for our opening concert! We have been looking for a good version of the song and this is by far the best version out there! Vocal point knocked this song out of the ball park, not only did they do that, they also put across a good and strong message! Good job! You guys are great role models!

this song gets me every single time i hear it. i always cry, always. it carries such a powerful message. but we are not here on this earth for a long time, so be kind and always treat everyone with respect because you never know what it will mean to them, trust me i know, from previous experiences. im only 16 but i know how much it means to people to be kind, saying that i saved someones life just by being there for them. it was the most trying time of my life mentally, but im proud of my friend and how far hes come because i helped him. please people, be kind

There have been days that this saved me. I might not still be here if things like this didn't exist. I've spent a lot of time as an outcast around everyone I know, just because I'm not good enough, or I don't know anything that they do, or something like that. It's amazing to me that people make things like Dear Evan Hansen, and other things with that kind of message. So thank you so much, BYU Vocal Point for doing this song, y'all are amazing!

I get bullied every day this song means so much! These three girls judges my clothes and because I play boy sports as a girl their nickname for me is Transy. When I finally told someone the did the same thing teased me for my clothes and the sports I play. Only six people like me. My summer camp person, Michael, he witnessed the bulling and did something but it kept happing I was thinking about killing myself but he fought for me and stopped me he's my hero!!

That’s not the message. This is more toward people who have social anxiety (like Evan in the musical) bullying plays a minimal role in social anxiety to my knowledge.

I am also in high school! Making really good friends in high school is super tough. I haven’t made a single friend in high school but I do have one good friend who came to high school with me. We were friends before high school. I just wish people would have better standards sometimes.
