I have had my Fujifilm XT5 now for about eight months since it was launched and I cannot fault this camera. There's a couple little tiny things that if I really wanted to be nitpicky about I could phone wrong with it. It's not Sony auto focus misses a couple of times but really come on. I came from the film days. You try to do that then let's talk about how many misses you get. The colours are absolutely amazing and the sharpness in this camera is phenomenal. I have been using it, mostly as a landscape photographer because that is most my work. I have done some other things with it as well. But honestly it is so good I don't normally jump on people's videos and say just by this camera, but honestly it is such a good camera. I love it and I'm actually now saving for a second XT5 body. Okay the lowlight performance is really good for a crop sensor camera. It is very close to full frame I'm fact I found it to be really good in my circumstances and that's incredible given that it's 40 megapixels.

I've spent 100s of hours on London's streets and in the countryside with my X-T5 and love it. Even with the heavy 16-55mm lens on it, it's light enough to walk around with it in one hand (using a wrist strap).

@@trym2121 I'm quite big - about 18 stone and 6'1.5". But the trick is that I use a combo of my L Bracket and an off-centre little tripod base plate under the camera to create a nice low point where my wrist strap connects. That creates just the right amount of strap tension to allow my wrist to take half or more of the weight. My fingers do the rest. It's really comfortable. I might give my hand a rest every couple of hours, but it's not really needed.

I've been using a pair of XT-5's for concert and event photography but for me I've gone back to an X-T4 and X-T3. The file size became an issue with workflow when you shoot circa 800+ images per session not to mention the crap buffer. Although I knew about the lack of battery grip, that also became a bug bear as the ergonomics for me just didn't feel great. Anyway it's a fantastic camera but just not for everyone.

I learned I can't use rangefinders much: The eyepiece location assumes the user is right-eye dominant, and I am left-eye dominant. This means that when I try to use one (keeping my left eye open, to "scan the scene") I CANNOT discern anything happening in the viewfinder.

Hello, I'm telling you about my situation to see if you can advise me. I work mainly as a product and event photographer, although I also make videos without using very "complex" codecs for companies and events. Until now I was using an xt3 with the 10-24, the 16-55, the 50-140, the 33 and a 27 that I use for street. It has happened to me twice in the middle of a job that the shutter got stuck and I couldn't fix it. So my question is, is it worth switching to Sony? Or is the xh2s professional enough to last for many years? The Sony system calls me the sigma lens park, the focus, the durability and that it is ff. Regarding the Fuji, I already have quite a few lenses (although they are expensive), I feel comfortable with the Fuji, but I don't feel it is as professional as the Sony. I appreciate any comments, greetings!
@BoogabooTheFlea
@BoogabooTheFlea 10 месяцев назад
I wonder if that has something to do with the the camerabrand. It could be that Sony and Fujifilm use the same shutters. Shutters from all brands nowadays are designed for 100.000 plus clicks. Perhaps it was a software issue?
@PetrGardianTV
@PetrGardianTV 9 месяцев назад
I would have the camera checked by Fujifilm service before going the route of swapping systems. It may be something simple or serious, at this point we can only guess. What you can do is pick up a used X-T3 and see if the problem occurs again (at least you will have a backup body that will not cost you fortune).

But - I have no idea why people want to take pictures of strangers. If you don't know them - you have zero idea of their back story - it seems totally disenginous to me. It might be ok if you are making a documentary of their life. But if you are taking a photo are photo of a specific point in their life - you are not actually proving nothing. Hence I do not buy into street photography. It is a selfish act by photogragpres as they are trying to super-impose a something that is happening in their lives that we noting about in the moment we have captured. We know literally nothing about how they got the point in their life in them moment you shot. Which actually makes the shot meaningless

Because it’s not about the person you’re shooting. You’re right, you don’t know them, it could be them or someone completely different standing there in that moment. Because it’s not about the individual in the photo, it’s about the way the light is hitting them, about the expression they’re making, the activity or interaction with others they are doing. It’s about photographing humanity. When someone views a street photograph, they don’t think: “I wonder what that person’s name is..” They don’t care who that actual person is. They think “Wow, that person has chosen to kneel down on wet concrete just to feed pigeons.” For example. Or “That person in the photo has an expression of pure joy, sadness, heartbreak, hate or love on their face that is so powerful that it is emotionally affecting me.” It’s about what that image conveys about the nature of humanity and our relationship to each other and the world around us. And I love it.
