I just refused and said no this is private property and I don't want charged for drunk in public. Which you said you were gonna charge me for for standing on the side of the road. Long story still long. They were complete asshats. Know your rights. They can't ask the passengers for i.d they can't search the car without permission.. no matter what they say just refuse. If you get out lock it. They can't search you either. Well, perhaps it's the APPEARANCE of success that inspired a nuisance/prank call -- if that was, in fact, what happened.

These police seem to get a lot of these calls anybody ever care to check to see if any of those calls actually exist or are we to believe police officers to be of integrity and the highest moral ethics that they would not lie to try and fabricate probable cause.

This is what cops do to everyone. If the guy was in a 95' Honda Civic they'd have ran a drug do around his car until it hit, and then after finding nothing, would still talk down to him. It may cost the tax payers a fortune, and all their civil liberties, and their dignity, but at least there are people out there writing tickets, and arresting teens and ruining their lives over simple mistakes.

For the record when l get stopped at a checkpoint and get asked when was the last time you had a drink the first thing l say is "Do you know where l can get a sticker saying 'If this driver is drunk arrest them because the car is stolen' because l do not drink and my last drink was was in 1991", we still have to check you, fine waste your time and mine. A friend of mine had their house broken into and was told by the Police it would be 3 days before anyone could turn up yet they can have 4 cars and 6 officers stopping cars to see if someone is drunk.

@@dave1096 You should research that, it happens way more that you think, Canadian cops shoot people all the time and they are even safer from prosecution than the U.S. It has been getting worse for the last 5or so years no probable cause is needed in Canada to initiate a stop, I shit you not, look it up if you can't believe me, that started as soon as weed became legal, they hated that the old I smell weed excuse was eliminated so they pushed so hard and of course got what they wanted. I deal with it often and my city is known for our cops being pretty rough and ruthless, Canada has really changed in the last 10 years, they are totally immune from prosecutionand full of attitude.
