During our visits to farms all across Portugal we truly get energised by meeting likeminded people with whom we can share interesting knowledge and experiences. Today, visiting Formiga Gloriosa, was no different. We exchanged practical experiences and got to talking about the hardship, where sustainable farming is in Portugal currently and about what it takes to become a farmer.
Furthermore we get back to our farm/homestead where we cook a delicious carrot and orange soup and we take you though all the development in the garden. We got a lot of things done, but not everything made it in this week's episode. Enjoy!

I really prize and cherish you guys efforts in to divulge the work of others small farm holders. I think that the more people see that sort of content on social media, the more aware people will become of the benefits of eating foods that are produced with the health of those who will eat it in taking in consideration and also the benefits of the health ( mental health) of those who are producing it. God bless the efforts of all of you!!!

We are enjoying the last weeksmof green before everything get brown and dry :D But, yes this year the flowers and the grass are really pumping!!!

Isn't it amazing how prevalent gardening is in Portugal? Whether it's for commercial purposes or just for fun, it seems like there's a garden around every corner. I've even had the pleasure of chatting with fellow gardeners at markets or by the side of the road during my travels. It's always a joy to connect with others who share a love for plants and green spaces.

Yes! That is exactly the vibe we felt visiting all these places. And we often chat to our neighbours to about their practices and what they have growing at the moment. Plants unite us haha.
