I doubt that very much. The risk of you getting killed for apostacy in the US is minute. Can you think of examples where that has happened. You are more likely to be killed by a person who hates Islam for being a muslim. We have plenty of examples of that. It takes more courage to be a muslim and have the media and general population , not too mention the president against you then it is to be an apostate who instantly gains street cred by society. It is tough to remain in a faith that is under attack on so many levels. Which is one of the major reasons people apostasize.
vicachcoup you dont understand at all, dont you? Nobody understand ex muslim. If we leave the fanatics will kill us. Because it is a rule that Allah want. So whoever kill the apostate will grant heaven If they live in the country where killed is forbidden they will bully you until you suicide. They will do anything to make you die. That is the rule.
@@vicachcoup People get butchered everywhere but they cover it up! Are you this stupid? America hides what true Islam is because it goes against their NWO agenda
@Nym GRACE who said that your life is in danger if you leave in a Muslim country. Allah said in the qur'an that if they want to believe, let them believe. If they want to disbelieve, then let them disbelieve
Very well said! I've been trying to make this point for years, that religions have no business crying about "intolerance", full as they are of intolerance against other faiths, and lack of faith.
On the point of people being defensive of Islam, not surprisingly Muslims will say 'why do you only pick on Islam', and christians will do the same for christianity, but what I think he is referring to is how some atheists become defensive of Islam. I think this comes down to ignorance, basically a conflation of Islam as an ideology with the fact that most Muslims are ethnic minorities within the US, Canada, Europe etc. This conflation in their minds of Islam with racial identities makes them act like criticism of Islam is simply just racism. Some actually might be, some people who fairly obviously hate gay people then attack Islam for being homophobic. So it's clearly not a disagreement with the ideology but an excuse to attack a group of people. I also see things like rape of boys blamed on Islam, when in reality Islam is pretty clear any form of homosexuality is punishable by death. Anyway I think the tack to take in this regard is to use the language of the regressives, we need to ask why Ex-Muslims are being marginalised by other atheists, why Ex Muslims are not being given the same degree of respect in terms of their right to criticise their religion. By using their own language and paradigms we can challenge this idea of Islamic exceptionalism.
Sorry don't mind me, just responding to various points here.. I think the key to changing minds, at least some, in the regressive left, is actually going to come from the far left. We need to start or support a far left movement that rejects identity politics, and resurrects the anti-theist vein of leftism, applied to Islam as well as other religions. This would hopefully filter through to the more radical liberals, and the anti-Islam platform would no longer be monopolised by the right.
In my opinion. If you're a believer in the almighty otherwise if you are not . It doesn't matter because not one religion has no solid proof in an certain afterlife. Let us as human beings just respect non violence.
such enlightenment......with great minds like these and the analysis of the quran given here im surprised why theres any muslims left in the world lol......loons
I am politically Christian conservative. My best neighbour is a gay couple. I love them but I don't like their lifestyle. E.g. if my son become alcoholic or addicted...I hate his destructive lifestyle, but I love him. LGBTQ are human with God given rights & freewill just like I enjoyed. We hate sin, not the sinner. They are my brothers & sisters.
I wish for a program as important and interesting as this, the camera would pan around the audience in the room occasionally, and on the individuals, when they are asking their questions. By the way, my admiration for all the ex muslims grows day by day. Their sense of morality is admirable.

Armin Navabi expresses an awfully narrow conception of freedom of speech. Facebook is much, much more like a park than it is like a house. Social pressures, including harassment, *can* curtail freedom of expression. State violence is of course the most extreme way to silence people, but it's not the only one.
Its more like a hybrid of house and park. It has a tag on it..if you dont like it you dont go there, especially if you are someone very sensitive and easily resort to violence. Have love and peace.
This was boring - pity because I would have like to have heard their arguments for disbelieving in Islam. All I heard were social reasons from what I listened to.
The title of the video is 'young muslims leaving Islam' Perhaps the uploader should have been more honest or accurate in his title if as you claim the subject was about the importance of free speech to apostates.
@vicachcoup Perhaps you should expect less from things you get effortlessly, for free on the internet. The uploader owes you NOTHING! Some of what you complianed about lacking (elsewhere in your numerous selfish, derogatory comments) was actually presented in the interview! More importantly, what you are looking for is readily available elsewhere (for free on the internet). So stop bitching and whining, put some effort into it, and go get what you want!
