I met her more than 30 years ago in London after a performance. We had a short chat, and she held my hand the whole time. Very funny! A nice and friendly person indeed.
Beautiful intelligent actress. There’s a certain humility when she compares the emotional energy an actor can give to the words Shakespeare used, and yet she is herself a master.
Such class and talent. First time i get to see her performance as Miss Brodie. I wonder what her onscreen performance would have been compared to Maggie Smith, whom i also adore. She will always be my one and only Rosalind though. An amazingly smart lady.
I saw Prime of Miss Jean Brodie all those years ago in Torquay. Ii still think she nailed Sparks character better than Maggie Smith much as I admired Smith.
