The carpet cleaner issue reminded me of the one story from Mother 3, might’ve been the outtake video, where he was asked what an Oxymoron was in 4th grade and he said “the guy on the Oxy clean commercial”. There’s a clip for ya.
I went to the store to buy a can of soda and the cashier ask if I was in highschool. I told her that I'm 22 and was she was a bit surprised. She thought I was 16 or 17.
I once got offered cigs when I was 16. I'm in the opposite situation where everyone thinks I'm older than I am cause my facial hair grows way too fast and I've always been tall for my age.
I can relate. I'm close to 30 myself but when I get a full shave done: hair, mustache, and beard done, I look a lot younger. I've had cops think I'm a teenager in those circumstances. No joke, I had one come up to me once while I was waiting for the bus to get to work and he asked me why I wasn't in class, I actually had to show him my state ID to show him I was in my mid-20s. He simply responded by saying "Sorry for bothering you sir." and walked away. It's funny looking back, but I was scared out of my wits in the moment.
I know how Emile feels in a way. Sometimes it's funny, other times, it's annoying. I just turned 23 about 2 weeks ago, and I'm still mistaken for a girl in her late teens. It's funny when I surprise random strangers and new friends about my age, and the look on their faces says it all. Though I've had the rare annoying moments where I have someone who thinks because I look quite young means that I am, and treats me that way, until I reveal my actual age and they get all embarrassed. Hey, I call myself the Fountain of Youth for a reason.
I'm 20 and have been told I look 14 - bouncers in a nightclub didn't believe me when I showed my ID so they asked to see a bank card to back it up, personally I get quite flattered when this stuff happens. :)
In all fairness if they knew about the Daisy or Queef episodes, they'd probably still instinctively call him kid even knowing the outrageous numbers. Dude got that house because his name turned up faster than Chuck Norris after all
I'm 23 and I work at a store that sells alcohol. I get people asking me every day if I'm old enough to sell them their alcohol. Both my parents are 50 and they look like they're in their mid 30's, so I guess it runs in the family. Funny thing is, there's another guy at my store with a full beard and he's under 21.
A lot of people always get shocked when I tell them my age. I'm currently 18 and the oldest person in my year group but I don't look it because I'm not particularly tall. Because of this, a lot of people don't realise that I'm the oldest person in the class until I say something.
I commonly fooled people when they asked what grade I was in I would say freshman and there were like oh yeah that makes sense then I would go ... In college and watch their minds explode
I relate so hard with looking too young for my age. But it is hilarious telling people that I'm in my late 20s, early 30s. Turns out, working out, eating good, consuming less sugar and doing things that makes you happy keeps you from aging like milk.
