I wish I had found your videos earlier, I’ve my test tomorrow & these sorts of videos help me a lot now, would’ve done even more so while I was still in the thick of learning

True, my first test I failed on my way back to the test centre - 2-min drive away :-)

I had my first ever test today and got so nervous I failed within the first 10 minutes forgot to check the mirrors to come out from the junction and the examiner straight away got me back in the test centre I was so disappointed I did really good I’n lessons but I never had a mock test before exam

Got my test on Wednesday morning, thanks for these videos making me feel more confident hopefully I perform well on the day 😁

I remember reading about some poor lad in Scotland, he went the wrong way down a duel carriageway when he left the test centre, dangerous fault, and he only committed three minors afterwards. I felt gutted for him.

Wassup James, the advantages are right now Students wait outside before their test, but all that weirdness would surround them once they have to go back inside the Test Centre and wait.

Examiners often have discretion with faults to classify them as a fault or a serious fault. In the initial phase of leaving the test centre whilst they are looking at your driving other examiner candidate combinations may see what your car is doing. Anything bordering on serious is going to be less favourably judged where other examiners can see an incident. So if your centre starts with an emerge from premises onto a faster main road it may be prudent to stop and then emerge after effective observation. The examiner has never sat in a car with you previously, unless you failed with him/her on a previous test. It puts their mind at ease if you opt for a more safer option from the get go than trying to emerge on the crawl with rapid observations. In other words first one or two junctions caution is preferred over being a bit rash. Then get up to speed with your actions and do your normal stuff. As Travis says first and last five minutes are when your concentration needs to be kept high. My second test we experienced a car crash at the test centre. I was parked in bay with engine off when a Vauxhall Viva came into centre too fast bounced over the drop kerb and smashed into my passengers door. I still passed but the driver of the Viva failed and it looked like her husband's car due to the conversation thereafter. Test centres are always going to be hazardous areas where some of the drivers are going to get it completely wrong.

I’ve got my test coming up so I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. Hopefully they help me. If you touch the kerb when pulling up on the left or while doing a parallel park is it a fail or a fault?

Hi Travis, thank you for your videos they are so helpful! I wondered if you or anyone in the comments had any advice for me. Unfortunately whilst out practicing with learner drivers insurance a car went into the back of our vehicle and I had to make a non fault claim. Now no companies will offer me learners insurance. Is there any thing I can do as I'd really like to practice outside of lessons before my test. Thanks in advance for any advice!
