I remember back then all the kids at school payed medal of honor and most kids didn't know what call of duty was and some kids said call of duty was a copy of medal of honor and that medal of honor was a better franchise. I always support call of duty and said it was better......guess I was right in the long run. It is still crazy to think of a time when I was at school trying to tell kids about Call of Duty finest hour and they did not even know what it was and told me medal of honor was the best WW2 game. I'll *NEVER* forget the beginning of the game with the Russian missions in cod finest hour, being called of the boats from the river to enter into Stalingrad which was this huge burning city, and then the Soviet officer hand you a clip of bullets and tells you "here is your ammo, when your comrade in front of you dies then you can pick up his rifle and use the ammo I have given you". My other favorite Russian mission after that was the Soviet sniper in Stalingrad missions crawling around the sewer pipes under the city and the industrial pipes above the city. It was amazing. Go look up those missions on RU-vid if you haven't. Especially the first Russian mission off the boat into Stalingrad - it is like Russian D Day. This guy also forgot to put call of duty 2 big red one in the video. Another amazing game. I'll never forget getting to be a B2 bomber ball pod gunner.

I remember me and my father found his old MoH and very first CoD CD many years ago. We launched it on an old computer and to our surprise it works perfectly. I can tell you that the gameplay on them was AMAZING, even better than most games today. Don’t let graphics and the aesthetic change your mode on the game. It’s how the story and nuances capture your heart and keep you gripped!

Can’t really agree with that one. MW2 and MW3 were extremely similar whereas MWII has an entirely different gunsmith to Vanguard, will have DMZ, and isn’t a completely shit game. I think nostalgia has clouded your vision. The biggest step between a COD game had to be BO4-MW19, and that released only 3 years ago.

The remaster has an argument for being my favorite. Like as much as the new games bring in terms of options, MW-07 is the base that it all was built upon, and the relative simplicity of it feels pure. And that’s absolutely said with a streak of nostalgia, but it really did set a standard for the shooter genre.

That's what makes it important, even if there were better multiplayers in other CODs. I wasn't saying it's the best multiplayer, just one of the good ones

@@Lord_Cummus Oh man I totally feel you. I was playing it right after it came out and I was 11. While the Tiger scene was definitely terrifying I was able to bear it (possibly because I watched a lot of war movies so that was not too harsh on me, maybe even already seen the scene from BoB when a german soldier gets crashed during Carentan counterattack) but I find it really hard to face the "boss like" german soldiers from the 6th mission. Basement of the Flakturm, no allies in sight and an eerie atmosphere and I was constantly worried that behind a corner there will be a guy in full black uniform and a gas mask wielding an MG-42. Because of that I did not fully beat the game and had to come back a few years later to actually finish it. I would love to see another installment of Airborne, but the game would have to undergo some massive changes imo. It only had 6 missions and while it would take around 1 hour to complete every single one on the first try (6 hours of playtime, so not too bad compared to modern CoDs which take the same or less time to beat on the first playthrough) but the replayability was rather unsatisfactory. I loved the Nijmegen mission and played it countless times, but that was an exception. But the game had some really cool features, like the fact that you would literally paradrop and start the level wherever you liked and you had quite a lot of freedom in chosing which mission you wanted to complete next.

Big Red One was the series’s first real attempt at telling a story with a cast of characters. All the soldiers had strong personalities and relationships that developed over the course of the campaign. I liked it for that reason. It stuck out from Infinity Ward’s games, which were less focused on the characters.

Do you remember a mission in that game where you are the guy who drops bombs from a b17 or a b25? I remember playing a mission like that as a kid, but I have no idea what game it was from.

Yeah, but big red one wasn't anything crazy. A decent game for the time but WWII games were everywhere, and the PC had WWII games that made big red one look archaic

finally someone mentions that classic! it was my first cod too and i still to this day remember that haunting intro speech “do not count days, do not count miles, count only the number of germans you have killed” shit blew my young mind away

Also my first COD was finest hour I had it for gamecube. Edit: Just wanted to add if anyone has ever played Finest Hour do you remember that mission where you following the tanks thru Italy or France (either one) and you had to place the mines? Was I the only that got stuck on that mission or nah?

@@NA-ck6cz Not really. Best first 2 missions for sure. But the campaign isnt the game's strong suit tbh. It's dark, annoying with horrible checkpoint locations, and sometimes so easy you'll fall asleep and at other times so hard you'll quit the game. The shooting is awkward, and that says nothing about the controls, which are antiquated as hell. Grenades were an issue. The multiplayer was better, but then again it had its own issues. Like it being dark. Like the rest of the game. On ps2 all I had was socom 3 battlefront 2 and finest hour as shooters. Finest Hour provided the most hair raising gameplay for 2 reasons besides, you know, the darkness: everyone back then would do nothing but camp. In socom or bf2 that wasnt an issue at all, in FH though I remember all anyone ever did was hide in the dark with a deployable mg. Then they'd move from spot to spot camping. The other reason was compared to how many people were playing those maps, which I dont believe I mentioned were dark as hell, were also freaking enormous. Overall, I have some fond memories of FH but I could never play it today like back then. There are too many better shooters, COD games at that. It's one of those games I pull out and play maybe once every 4 or 5 years and beat, but otherwise I havent touched it

@@TheLegendaryMemeKing Can say same thing, i dont even know why is so hated, it just makes no fucking sense. The campaign is good and the playing whit bots is quite nice cause u can set up a game whit 3 allied bots at expert mode and then u set a full enemy army at easy mode and it just noice when u do it in the castle map (at least for me that game setup is fun).

@@ghostduty8359 because the campaign was the only good part of the game. Multiplayer was boring, offered nothing new or unique, other than predator being on one of the maps, it’s just a boring ass game
