Hello Alex. My wife and I have bought a lot north of Merida, and will start to build in about three years. It seems that double pane windows are not common. I would really appreciate if you could touch on the subject. Thanks.
There are definitely different standards of building, but it all depends on the end product. For instance, in our house the sliding doors are all double-pane, but the others are single. Personally, I would push as much as you can to get them priced-out, but I can tell you that anything that's not the "norm" will end up costing a lot more. That being said, there are ways to save money. For instance, we were initially going to go with different sliders in our rooms (kitchen, master, front door, upstairs, etc.), but we were able to save a lot by going with a different manufacturer - thought it did take asking a few times. Never be afraid to push, to ask, to find an alternative, but also make sure you're getting what you want. Sorry, that was a lot of rambling, but I hope it helps!
@@AlexanderFromKC Thank you so much!!. I was under the impression you were outside the periferico. But actually you are still near centro if i am looking at the map correctly
Nice info Alex. One thing off topic here; its a spanish language tip that I wanted to give you. Whe you say words in spanish in which the first letter is H, dont pronounce it ; in spanish the H is silent. I think that would help you towards your fluency !
lol good call! I really appreciate the advice, because even though I'm sure in the back of my mind I knew that... lack of practice doesn't make perfect! Have a great day and thanks again!
