Hi Demi, just to check. I am able to pay my phone bill, supermarket (Giant, Fairprice etc ) and qualify for the 3.33% cash back? And as for the HSBC EGA, the extra 1% is no more already? Even if I were to put $2k inside, its pointless?

Hi Demi, thank you for the great content. My plan is to have 1. citi cashback card for all the dining and grocery 2. UOB eval for more dining and shopping 3.UOB one for all the other stuffs. Does UOB one 3.3% include air ticket, hotel booking? I wonder do I still need UOB absolute to cover some of bigger spending.

Haha I haven't worked out the math whether it's worth it. Are you doing it? My current credit card combination is a little different. It's like a backup card for me now because my cash is all tied up. Citi Rewards + Instarem Amaze is my main combi, has a 1K cap.

I already charge and hitaround 1200 to my UOB card every month including a 1100 subscription and 100 for the 5 transactions. In this case, I should use HSBC card right? And not continue charging to UOB one? If I shop on shoppee using uob one card after hitting 1200, do I still get the additional cashback?

if you're above the tier amount eligible spendings then yea go with another card. additional cashback is capped at $100 / statement month so yea you'll still get the additional cashback if it's below the cap.

You can use HeyMax to check what is the Merchant Category Code for Yale Door Lock to see if it qualifies.

@@user-kt7to7pk5t Some people do the Instarem link to wallet method, with insufficient balance the txn will be voided then you can see the MCC code too! Hope this helps~

@@DemiZhuang hi peiseh..may I ask if I pair the Instarem amaze W Citi rewards CC.. if I use the amaze card for payment..what is the MCC code that will appear under Citi rewards side? Will it be under fave pay MCC or that purchase item merchant MCC? Cause I understand that for Citi rewards, anything online is entitled 4miles/$1

Hi Demi, I am looking to sign up for a UOB One Credit Card to build up my credit score. I currently already have a UOB One Debit Card and spend about $1,000 a month. Should I split my spending to $500 on debit card and $500 on credit card to ensure that I hit the minimum spend on both cards and reap the rewards?

If it isn't a consistent spend of $1K per month then you should split but I'd consider getting another Credit card instead of using the debit card.

For the HSBC EGA account 1% Cashback? HSBC Revolution but be careful there are exclusions.

My credit card bill statement is always dated 24th. Then this monthly of $500 spend. Does it take from first till last of the month transaction? Or from 24th till 23th of next month? Been using uob one for many years. How to know which months are for my quarter month? Does the tracking screen on the app tell u which month you are in now for the quarter?

Can ask CS for what months are your quarter. Card monthly spend is based on statement cycle and not calendar month. Savings Account Spend is Calendar days 1- last of the month hence I mentioned better to ask them to align it otherwise it's going to be confusing.

i think the only bad thing about UOB one is that their cashback automatically credit into the card, so i have to spend extra during the cashback month, instead of HSBC to redeem as and when i prefer

Hello just to check if I link xnap with uob 1 credit card and with Google pay or apple pay. Should be able to hit the $500 minimum spending right ? ( I.e. using xnap does not disqualify it )
