1972: Last full year as a military dependent living on USAF Base Housing for 9.5 years. All goods were hard to come by. 1972, I was 15 and, like all the other kids, had become a survivor. Constant evacuation of schools due to bombs being placed them and in cars parked on streets. Relied heavily on clothing delivered by Sears & Roebuck. That was the year I was forced to wear a pair of purple and white Houndstooth elastic pants. Mum made me wear them once. 72 it was bikes, books, records...clothes...a junk car...gas...beer Today it's parents paying for (or the government) paying for breast implants, tatoos, cell phones, video games, crappy clothes that look like pajamas,, nice car,...weed...
I was halfway through college on the GI bill and driving my Shelby GT t 350, great times remember being so broke, I didn't have any money per se, a lot different than today living in Vegas.
I've actually done a brief study on this and although money spent on housing has gone up, price per square foot has not changed. In other words, although houses are more expensive, it's because they are bigger. The square foot price is about the same, but no one wants to live in a 1,200-1,700 square foot house anymore. Drive through an old neighborhood (like the one in Michaels family picture) and look at the size of the houses then go drive through a modern subdivision and see the size of the houses. Builders make more money on bigger houses, so that's why they build bigger houses.
Hormone treatments and gender-affirming surgeries for transgender patients under 18 are two different questions. I voted No, but the question needed to be more specific.
Michael and TC seem to love black/white questions. We are not created that way on any such issue. We are a distribution. Making us choose one side or the other eliminates the most of us (the middle!). I won't bothering answering a question that I don't want to take a side on.
@@LostNavigator True. But then what is point of the question. Is he really taking the pulse of the nation or just racking up U-tube votes. Politics is much more subtle than the questions he is asking.
I think most people are for support, counseling (not to change mind) to cope with feelings, and measures such as that. What most folks are against are actual changes made to body whether by hormones or surgery before age 18 and I would argue 25. If kids are allowed to behave and dress as they feel without societal pressures, they will be able to make a decision when they are of legal age to make and pay for those decisions
there’s no getting psyched for a debate that excludes candidates. I plan to watch you but not CNN. My attention will be on X where all three candidates will be heard.
