I mean I think it’s more about the woman’s character and preserving holiness. Not giving a man “wifey privileges” will not protect a woman from being abused. They can still do things if that man believes he can manipulate her in some way. Therefore he does. Or if they sadly get married and he decides to abuse her then. Her character is what will decided what will happen to her. You have to have the character, that produces the standards, that will prevent you from being abused. A woman who is pure and holy will not tolerate abuse. Someone who struggles might. You can’t weed out narcissists/abusers if you’re a narcissist/abusive (even in language) and think it’s okay even with the standards. You can’t intentionally pick a forgiving man if you’re not forgiving etc. That person doesn’t have the eyes to see bad behavior because they have it themselves.

Yep it’s always people giving women all the advice on how to be better, but if the men aren’t given the same advice & making the efforts then you will have a bunch of good women & mediocre men.
