Youth Sports are DOOMED? 

What are your thoughts on this?

video games have taken over.... feelings of instant gratification with minimal effort, but in reality just sitting doing absolutely nothing with themselves.... doomed is an understatement

Me and my freinds use to play football in the middle of the street since we were 8 I’m I’m 13 now and we still do

Easy: social media & video games. I think the attention span of children has dropped significantly, and the difficult requirement & demand it takes to get better at a given sport or physical activity loses them.

I pads and phones are too blame. Done on purpose

My thoughts on this are that cars handle better and are faster than ever before. A speeding car down my side street growing up was going 30mph. Now every car down my side street is going 50mph. That’s a huge reason kids don’t play in the streets. They’d get killed if they did.
