This was an adventure~! Now I stream art Monday, Wednesday, and Friday around 3pm PST 🌟 My Twitch!!!: www.twitch.tv/lavendertowne Other Streamers I referenced in the video! www.twitch.tv/quislings www.twitch.tv/rubberninja www.twitch.tv/doodledate/ www.twitch.tv/saruei/
I was never a fan of streams, but I've been going to almost every stream since day 3 and yours are super fun. I don't talk a lot in the chat but it's still super fun to read the messages.
Same. I only came on the last day and I actually downloaded Twitch solely because I wanted to be with LavenderTowne live. It was one of the most relaxed, warm, fuzzy streams ever and since I downloaded twitch, no other stream I've watched has compared to the feeling I got when being a part of LavenderTowne's stream.
Ikr, it just irked me that every stream she had to do art requests because people were begging her. But she did look like she had fun? Sooo... I guess it’s all good, but it still sucks how selfish the people were
Hello! As a twitch myself I would like to metion one thing; ITS COMPLETELY FINE NOT TO HAVE FACECAM ON. Myself included, I know a lot of streamers who don't have facecam on and its completely fine. :)
This makes me wanna try streaming sometime.. that is, when i finally do some more digital art lol.. aaaand when im less afraid of showing my face to the world
don't forget the ancient art of PNG streaming if you don't wanna bother with a full Vtuber project! Cheap but still enough for people to recognize the channel on a glance
I have a idea for the next art video. So, since your you-tube name is “lavender towne” and “lavender town” is a creepypasta, and SCP and creepypasta are kinda alike in some ways, I thought that u could draw the SCPS as cute people!
I heard this advice from some other streamer: Start out on a different platform, twitch is so much easier when you already have an established viewerbase.
@@notcatisa yeah depending on what you want to stream it's better to start off on a different platform, if you wanted to a semi popular game it's better to start on mixer since there's less competition and a higher chance you'll have people come by. I wrecon the art side would be the same if that's what you're going for.
This video made me feel so involved even though I'm not there, I felt content, calm, happy, and just cozy. Actually, I think it's just you and your channel and your vibe. You give off such a calming vibe and I just love you! Ahh! 😂 (Not to weird you out, sorry! If that did creep you out.)
you're living the dream, girl. i'm having a hard time figuring out how to build up my viewerbase, i'm not sure why i never considered taking requests!! loved watching you figure out how to navigate Twitch coming from RU-vid hehe.
@@GabrielTobing sometimes I wish i was a girl...then i'd have the viewers. yes I'm hating and no, that doesn't take away from the talent. but being a girl helps quite a lot on twitch.
Can I just say that you are amazing and do such amazing art?! I think I can. Anyway, I love your style and just how nice you are to your fans! I am so great-full to be part of your discord group! You are amazing! Keep being your amazing self!!! 💗💗💗💗
New outro :o. Also, just wanted to say hello. So, hello! Been waiting for a time in which you would upload and I'd be somewhat early. New time viewer. Long time fan (just didn't know it yet) Also wanted to thank you for your work and keep doing what you're doing
This was so well done. I do streaming for my game studio once a week and you really nailed a bunch of what makes it special. I think having the chat interaction is the strength of the platform for sure but it does get tricky. Thanks so much for putting all this together!
Lavendertowne: *gets an average of 71 viewers on her stream* Now that might seem to be a small number but that's really good! *Me barely getting 1 average viewer on my stream* mhm ;^;
I’m inspired by how to draw so much, you are one of my favorite artists that actually got me back into drawing (Yup I’m saying this even though I haven’t watched the full video yet, and yes..this is cheesy). Can you do some more tutorials, I would like to be a cartoonist when I grow up and would like to have a head start on my career. If you don’t want to do a tutorial can you just give out tips when making a normal video.
YOU already had a built in fanbase when you started. you didnt necessarily start from scratch i think is the main thing anyone needs to remember starting out
i love that you released this!! i'm planning to do the same on twitch and wanted to know someone's perspective in the art community so this was super helpful!
Maybe for the next By the Book you could do The Outsiders? The main characters I feel were done dirty are Darry, Dally, Soda and Cherry, but I would love to see any of the characters in your style.
I think one of the reasons people tend to do "outside" work on Twitch instead of art specifically for it, as you observed, is that Twitch has no algorithm. As long as the thumbnail looks good (which Twitch autogenerates every 15 or so minutes) and you're in a visible spot within the directory, it'll draw new people in who can hang out with you and become part of the community. Whereas on youtube, you kind of have to game the algorithm a bit by crafting your content in such a way that it's interesting, attention-grabbing, or useful. So on RU-vid you can't get away with "hang out while I work on stuff" the way you can on Twitch.
The extra hours come in when you have to promote yourself on other platforms like Tiktok or Twitter. Twitch is known for having terrible discoverability, so to actually make a name for yourself on the platform you have to edit clips and promote yourself elsewhere. I’ll stream for 2-3 hours, but then I have to edit clips from that stream and post them elsewhere to make sure I’m constantly getting a steady flow of new viewers. That may be part of the reason why you thought streaming took more time than RU-vid!
The colour palette looks off. Uhhhh- Mine is a diamond /rhombus- not a square or a triangle tilted- I noticed that Here’s a gacha fact: Most gacha users are female because I don’t see male users much-
I remember you had a stream a while ago, about 2 years ago. And you were answering almost all the questions and you continued to answer mine and talk with us, so thank you !!!!!
Oh my gosh! You have rats as well? Aaaa thats so cool! What are their names and how many do you have? I have two boys named Remi and Emile ^-^ Based on the Ratatouille characters.
as far as worrying about doing youtube things on twitch, i watch a few youtubers on twitch where they only put things on youtube that they streamed before, and it’s always really interesting to watch even though i’d technically seem it before- i think the reason for this is because when you’re on twitch talking to chat and when you’re recording a video voiceover, you are saying different things, and a lot of people who watch streams don’t stare at the screen the full time like they do with youtube, so watching the youtube videos is usually a more complete picture with more focused dialogue, you know? but overall, it is your content and your choice what you stream
This is really cool (: Thank you for the info. My sibling has a gaming stream and is an affiliate and I never understood the draw of it before. But if it's just hanging out, then it'll feel probably like a really long sketch with me type video~ and maybe I'll get some work done too xD I only have a phone to record on and am rubbish at digital art still... so what sort of set up would you recommend based on your experience and research for this challenge for a traditional creative streamer?
U should do every Monday and Friday u should stream and Tuesday and Wednesday u do RU-vid and for bonus Saturday RU-vid ♥️♥️‼️if u do take this thank Uuu
