Are you serious? You literally take 2 steps forward and 4 steps back. Black women don’t have naturally, long hair? I have naturally, long hair and for you to not acknowledge how your words are hurtful is WILD! What if some young, black girl was to hear that their hair can’t grow and is not “good”! You’re also teaching Kalia to look at herself as better because she’s mixed. I feel passionately about this because I was a black girl and I’m now a black woman. Nothing you said is true about our hair except that it’s difficult to maintain, but it’s possible. Comments like this is what makes little black girls hate their hair and start doing the perming and wearing wigs. They give up on maintaining their hair because it’s deemed nappy and undesirable. A lot of black women don’t know that there’s a whole hair grading system and it can help them maintain their hair type properly. All kids experience bullying at some point but I’d NEVER tell my kids it’s because they’re prettier or have better hair. I have 2 mixed daughters and they know that it’s unacceptable to think that way. I know that nothing I say will make you understand so I’ll end it here. I only have one thing left to say……..imagine how you’d feel if Kalia was fully black and overheard someone say what you did.

Im a black woman i can do so much with my hair other cultures can't so i never thought of my hair as bad black hair is unique hair that a lot of cultures want even though why is hair so important to people its just hair short or long hair and weave are beautiful people get it in your head black women are not the only ones wearing weaves do yall research you have people who have hair and do nothing with it so my hair is just as beautiful as anyone else and im very proud of it i think its unique peroid

I have mixed kids have a daughter and two boys My Daughter 20 and I always told her you’re gonna have some haters because you’re gonna be that pretty girl with long hair and bomb ass shape. I teach my kids this mean as world what you’re doing and how you doing and what you’re saying I’m with you, can nobody tell you how to raise your kids get ready for this mean ass here that’s what we do

I agree 💯, 90% of black females' hair does not grow to the same length as a Caucasian, Native American, or Asian females. I too agree, you must, must educate our youth. If they know nothing, they can fall for it all. Keep speaking truth and protecting those babies, Desmond.
Do you know why it doesn’t grow as fast as other races of people? Our hair can and will grow but a lot of us don’t know how to properly care for our hair. Plus, comments like this discourages them from even trying to. Then, people complain about how we’re trying to be something we’re not because we wear wigs, perms and weaves. As a black woman you should know that we can absolutely grow our hair long and healthy. Instead of agreeing with everyone else, why don’t you advocate for better education on black hair types. Did you know that a lot of those women wearing wigs and weaves actually have long hair underneath? They use those styles as protective styling because our hair doesn’t handle too much manipulation well. This is one of the many reasons that our community is in the state that it’s in. How about uplifting young women and supporting them instead of “telling your truth”? Just say that you hate your hair or that it won’t grow and stop projecting onto other black women. Des is really would like you to educate yourself on black hair every black don’t have tight hairs to the scalp. Not every black woman puts chemicals in her hair for it to show length I feel like some of your comments at the bottom of your video is very condescending. You called a woman a liar for saying that her family has long hair and does not put chemicals in her hair without doing the research to understand black hair when I look at your hair and my hair, we don’t have the same texture hair have you ever looked at your ex-wife hair and see that when she gets out the shower she blows dries her hair every time she gets out the shower or wet is curly right but it’s all different types of curls and in all races of hair just because your daughterdoes not mean that you can just see her length of her hair when you guys put it in the ponytails stretching her hair to show her length or her hair would be curly
Also we say this a lot of black woman hair don’t grow because they don’t know how to take care of it and because they’re wearing the wigs that’s ripping out their edges or not taking the time to treat their hair like it needs to be treated taking a proper vitamins water and not putting those harsh chemicals in their hair my hair when I get out the shower is past my back and that’s without chemicals. I have been chemical free since I was in my 20s but I also have a house with children that have long hair and my kids are mixed, none of them have perms and none of them have chemicals
