@redcon 13 Oceans saltwater is a solution, which isn't as strong as pure salt. Take it like this, you can casually breath air that contains carbon dioxide but you can't breath 100% carbon dioxide.
More like boiling syrup, you will likely die or pass out if lava is poured at you like that but these octopus are just in pain and it will last till she eat them.
The videos shown here arent even the worst of it...there is a video where she collabs with another youtuber (i think it's called giant king lobster raw octopus mukbang or something) and starts with biting the LEGS off two octopi and leaving them to writhe in agony. They put the amputated octopus in the water, which desperately try to swim away with their legs cut off, and because they felt threatened, squirted water at her/the other guy. Offended, she then picked it up, and threw it off screen. What a blatant disregard for other life.
The squid part was absolutely the worst. Not only she's killing them that way, but she's also leaving them on the table half alive, probably agonizing with pain. Furthermore, the eye was absolutely scary.

And even in those cases, most of the affected channels don't even violate the terms of service to that big of a degree, yet they lose all revenue and even potentially get taken down. One thing that came to mind was weed channels, but they're more of a gray area imo. But channels like codys lab with mining in a shaft and using detonating explosives for educational content shouldn't violate youtubes guidelines
@Banana pretty sure if you report them and it gets taken down, the same behaviour would still take place, just behind the cameras, so rest in peace poor animals. That squid one made me cry from pure horror. I felt a sense of primal fear and disgust. Not sadness, but from seeing that display of fucking psychological & body horror.
Technically they can still kind of 'breath' it's just that they aren't getting the right amount of oxygen. It would be like if you were thrown into a room full of pure nitrogen. You could breathe just fine, but you'd die anyways because no oxygen. In the fish's case, it's way too much oxygen. Either way, it's still needlessly cruel.

Okay, southerner here, that shrimp technique she did was not only inhuman, but also incredibly incorrect as well. What your supposed to do is quickly snap and then just as quickly do a kind of short jerking motion to the head, this leads to a clean and painless end for the shrimp. What she did was slowly twist the head and just as slowly pull, borderline tug at the shrimps head, this leads to a much slower and incredibly painful death for the quick shrimp as well.
