I have bought 3 dozen of the flat trigger model from you. They work flawlessly. Very sensitive trigger for catching bream for bait. I took a couple pair of pliers and bend bottom of flat trigger in towards the set grove so that trigger is not sensitive for some of mine so that I can use live bream on yo-yo for big cats. Only works well with smaller bream but does work. Bigger hand size bream trip trigger too often !
Thanks. I just got 6 trigger bar yoyo reels in the mail from you. They are really awesome!!! ;-) Showing how to adjust the spring tension in the video was a really big help.
hey i was watching some sigma 3 survival and trap videos and saw that they used one, didnt know what they were and yall were the first video i chose and it looks like i made the best choice all year, thanks again 4hogwilder and hogwilder
That's a great idea! We make those out of River Cane here(looks like small Bamboo). But you're exactly right. In survival situations there's not always a perfectly located tree, so you have to improvise. We've been needing new video ideas, so I'll put that on the list! Thanks!!
On my trip to Texas I will be picking up several of them. But in your order before I go. Now I am not saying they are legal in Washington or your state. But when S.H.T.F. the game warden will be hungry too. It is a survival back packing thing. I have seen how you can use it for rabbit & squirrel snare trapping too.
Love yoyo fishing.. So easy and convenient. I've been using eagle claw 5/0 circle hooks on mine and they do a great job. Lately I've just been tying 2 yoyos to the dock and baiting them with cut bluegill. Takes 2 min to set up. Go to work, come home, got 2 fresh catfish waiting for me. Actually just finished frying a 10 and a 5 pounder. These would definitely work great for shtf.
Just received my order. (along with a typed apology for delayed shipping). A total of 8 days from order to receipt, and the reels are of excellent quality. It seems that HogWilder has just gotten his website set up, and there were some shipping software issues that caused the delay. I am one very happy customer. Thanks HW.
If you do a lot of yo-yo fishing you will go back to the Auto Fisher..The wire trip is not really convenient but it works better in the deep notch. That allows you to use large shiners for bait or fish in currents without the bait tripping the yo-yo. I will check your store out. Thanks
Hey Thanks So Much Friend!! My Brother and I are very grateful to everyone who buys from us. We don't make a lot of money, but my Brother is a Disabled Veteran, and doesn't get any benefits yet. So any extra money we make from nice guys like you really helps! Thanks So Much! Good Luck and Good Fishing! =)
First of all, Thank You for your Service. I just bought a six pack of the Y0-YO Reels from you. In regards to the Reeling In/Hook Set aspect, Can I still use "Circle Hooks" which (of course) don't require a Hook Set. I'm using these on Jugs. Thanks for the advice...
Hi, I bought the six pack off of Amazon. They arrived super quick and in perfect condition. Cant wait to try them out on my pvc jug fishing rig! Thanks!
I just pulled up some yoyo reels on ebay. But thought I might check out some vids first. This vid was so good and infromative, im specifically going to buy these from you. Thanks!
I actually just ordered a 4 pack off ebay. I watched a few of these videos from you and some others, and looked back on my account. I ordered them from you, and didn't even know it. I'll be the order from N.C.
first off thank you for your service Brother lots of good info I just purchased your 6 pack of the white yo yo I already have the other once again tyvm 4 your service
For you survivalists out there, I can see these working nicely in conjunction with a snare to catch snakes, small game, birds, etc. With a little imagination they should work well for a snare trigger. I would add a stainless steel leader to the end just in case you need to catch a turtle or fish with teeth, etc.
Great idea! These are a must for the Bug Out Bag! I like to have a 6 Pack in my Bug Out Bag, and about 6 Snares. You can easily feed a Family of 3 that way, most places. I've hear of Guys using the YoYo for snares also, but just fish. I haven't done any trapping. Thanks so much for you comment!
Thanks Friend! We just made a "Hat Camera" with a little Flip Camera I bought on eBay for $15. We're going to make some fishing videos and a better demo soon. Thanks for the input!
I added some to my amazon cart and decided to do some more research on it. found your video and decided to order ones from you. turns out the ones i picked out (best deal) were yours!
You can, but I like putting a standard line leader on them. That way I can quickly change it out if I'm trout fishing, or other types of "line shy" fish. Thanks!
Great yoyo reels. I got these from you on ebay a few months ago. Works like a charm for fishing. Got some in my bug out kit for trapping. Like someone else talked about on youtube, During SHTF It does not matter if they are legal, you got to eat. Will order more from you soon.
Awesome Man! Hey, let us know how you did, if you have time. Nothing makes me happier than hearing about the fish people catch on our product! Thanks so much Friend!
Thank you for posting this video, I've learned a lot from watching it. I will be purchasing a dozen from you on Amazon within a couple of days. After pay day of course :) Thank you HogWilder
Thanks so much My Friend!! Nice people like you have inspired me to make more! We're working on a Fishing Video, where we are going to Bait 12 of each model, and see what does the best. And video tape it all, like an amateur Bill Dance. :) Hopefully we can make it watchable. HaHA! Thanks again Friend!!
There most effective when bait hook is resting under water six inches when sprung. You do not want the fish to be defensless against attack. A good hook set can not be shaken out, pulled out is a better stories
Is your website working? What is the correct address? Are you selling the Mechanical Fisher's Yo Yo with flat trigger? How do I find prices and order? Thanks.
Thanks so much to all the wonderful RU-vidr's that have been buying from me on eBay and Amazon. I am sorry the website is still offline, but I wasn't able to fulfill my '1 Day Shipping Promise' because of the extra work. So for now, I am just selling on eBay and Amazon so I can provide better service, and the fastest shipping. Thanks so much!!
Thank Y'all So Much to everyone who left a nice comment!! I really appreciate it! I will message you guys individually when I have time, but getting customer orders shipped fast is our #1 priority. Thanks and God Bless Y'all!!
Does ur 20lbs catfish ever pulled out all ur line? The reason I'm asking is cuz im planning to fish within range of bushes. So I'm afraid they might run in there
+Huy Nguyen Concerning the bigger cats. Go get a good 6" spring from the hardware store.. and about an 8 or 10" bungee cord... fasten the spring to the hook instead of the line, clamp the hook on the spring good so it doesn't come out. Same with the bungee to the spring. Then when the bigger fish run up the line, the spring and bungee keep the yoyo from tearing apart so easily.
I check my email- hogwilderllc@gmail.com several times a day, and I check eBay and Amazon messages many times a day. I tend to forget RU-vid comments and messages, and I am sorry for that. But I appreciate all the nice comments! You all are great!! :-)
a big fish will tear these up no problem I have lost a few but have caught a lot more fish than losing yoyos if you are watching them that is the they work best.
We had an issue with the Website, and orders being marked shipped that were not shipped. We have it fixed now, and I am shipping all of the items that I missed. If you have a problem, I am really sorry. If you're not comfortable buying from the website, just find me on eBay or Amazon. I am really sorry for the problem. This is my 1st website and I am still learning. Thanks
Thanks so much Sal! I do not have your email, but you can reach me at 4hogwilder@gmail.com. I'm not sure why eBay was down. That kinda worries me, lol. Thanks so much for letting me know!
Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I love talking and working with my fellow Fisherman, Preppers and Outdoorsman. Great bunch of good, honest people! If you're ever in Arkansas, give me a holler. I work a lot of weekends, but we get on the water every chance we get. Maybe we can get a fishin' trip in. :)
