I will now give myself a few months to wear and properly test out all of these different luxury palettes and formulas before I make a video summarizing my thoughts. It's gonna be a good one!
I do think the sparkle shade is more impactful in Stora Dolls. I love 100 but I’ve actually been wearing 300 more because I’ve been in a warm-ish mood. I just love the tones. I do think Soft Cashmere is cooler than Stora Dolls, so I hope you get a chance to swatch them together and see what you think. I just love these YSL formulas. I think I like the YSL formulas more than than the Lisa Eldridge, but I like them both. (And I’m still waiting patiently for Sorcery to restock) I really want to try the Lancôme now, too! I’m enjoying trying all of these new to me formulas. I’ve been really impressed. My only tiny criticism of the YSL quads is that I wish they were a little heavier. I think they’d feel more luxurious. But that’s being super picky!
Good to know, I will swatch them side by side in store next time. It is rare the I even have the option so I should make use of it. Hmm if you like this better than LE, then I am not sure you will enjoy the Lancome as much. Maybe give them a swatch in store first. True they could be heftier (an better glued!).
LE mattes are my favourite too. In fact Vega is up there as possibly my GOAT palette. You have convinced me to try Lancôme, I didn’t know Lisa was their creative director of beauty. I really like this eyeshadow on you, lately I crave these more subtle refined sparkles over super metallic or chunky glitters. This looks very chic on you and I think this type of shadow looks better and better a few hours in. Thanks Mariam gave me lots to think about.
I think there is a time and place for both chunky and more classy glitters and I love having the option. I myself have only recently started to discover all these different options and enjoying them all.
Hi Mariam! Very nice work-appropriate/daytime look. Thank you for investing in this new quad. I hope you will grow is like. As I am fair, I purchased Spontini Lilies and Babylone Roses. I returned Spontini Lilies because it is too warm on me - but it is very easy to use and very daytime appropriate. I really like the shades in Babylone Roses. I do wear eye primer (ABH) otherwise I get a lot of creasing and glitter fallout. The formula is indeed smooth/soft; and reminds me a lot of the clean and talc-free formula in Athr Beauty palettes (I don’t have any LE or Lancôme eyeshadows). Yesterday, I ordered Stora Dolls from YSL (Canada) because I missed out on TF Metallust. The YSL quad I would have also liked is Trocadéro Nights, but it is not available in Canada. Thanks again. PS: I enjoyed seeing your son.
There was another quad I think 200 that had beautiful mattes and a gorgeous topper. I was very tempted by it too but I had already bought Kasabah Spices. Babylon Roses has 2 toppers so you chose well. Hehe he is such a fun little dude!
Ohh I want this quad, gorgeous look! Although now I want to try the Lancome eyeshadow haha Do you have a recommendation for where I should start with those? xx
I loved Stora Dolls on you, cool tones look so great on you! From what I saw in store, the one that I bought which is Bronze Absolu #17 was the best color story. I love the neutral slightly cool shades and the pop of green. I have a photo of it on my IG. I think you will like the formula but definitely check their other color stories, quite a few beautiful neutral ones.
You're right that Stora Dolls is more interesting than Kasbah Spices - the sparkly topper is more impactful and the rest of the shades vary between satin and matte, as opposed to the three mattes in Kasbah. Stora Dolls is similar in colour theme to Dior Soft Cashmere, but it has more sparkly vs the metallic finish of soft cashmere!
Another stunning look. I love the little clutch and like you, I am a savage when it comes to my handbags. Some people are handbag people, but I was always more of a shoe girl.
You look great! Love this color storie on you. I bought the Stora dolls palette and returned it. Yes, it's a beautiful one, but it fell off the packaging...
I purchased a YSL bag and I regretted it immediately for the same reasons you mentioned here. So I returned it. I still have a big Bottega Veneta bag but again, I never find the occasion to use it… I will comment more once I finish to watch you ☺️
Wow, I loved the final look! That lipstick complements and enhances your eyes so well. I have to say I prefer this palette on you compared to the Lancôme because of the glitter shade. This YSL glitter in palette 300 is so sophisticated! Better than the one in my Stora Dolls palette that is chunkier as you said. 😘
@@clidrevandijk I have to say looking at the footage I think the colors look very flattering on me and I really love the look. Haha I think that would be exact reason I would probably have liked Stora Dolls better. I still really like the Lancome one too, but for a different kind of look, and I can always pull a glitter from Pat to help it.
@@mariam.a. my little one just turned 6 and he is a little comedian. I have to hide my laughter when he says or does inappropriate or funny stuff. They are growing so quickly!
Hi Mariam, congratulations for your channel, from Barcelona. Indeed, you still can find Suqqu melting powder blushes in Cult Beauty (U.K). They deliver on DDP basis (Delivered Duty Cleared) in Spain. I suppose they will offer the same service in The Netherlands.
Thank you! I have a few of the blushes indeed from Cult Beauty but was curious if they still have them in stock. Good to hear they are still available.
@@mariam.a. which one do you recommend? It's ironic really, I've been following you for quite a while (so it seems), but I didn't know you have oily eyelids!
I would want the blue one, but it, of course, is not available in Canada. How are all these (YSL, Lisa Eldridge, Lancome) different from ND cream to powder formula? (yeah, those types of bags require the lifestyle that comes with that sort of income)
Hmm I don't have so much experience with ND cream to powder so I am not sure but probably similar they are also made in Italy. Right...a fancy bag requires a fancy life.
I think so yes several times maybe even. People were pissed that we had to fight with each other on release day to get it and then it was just available to everyone 😂.
@@mariam.a. I ordered divine rose 2 from Douglas and by some magic I got the pink limited edition. That wetted my appetite, I now want the divine rose 1 in pink packaging too 😅😂
