This review will be all about a very highly requested, popular and hyped cologne known as La Nuit De L'Homme by yves saint laurent.
This fragrance is probably one of the most popular designers in recent times especially in the youtube fragrance community, and I'm here to give you my honest review and impression of this hype-train.
La nuit is the nighttime flaker to L'Homme, and it's a soft-spicy powdery seductive creation that combines masterfully the accords of cardamom and lavender. The smell is truly unique and very alluring, I have to say I enjoy the scent very much.
There has been much controversy surrounding the batch codes and reformulations, the batch I own is from June 2015 with a batch code of 38M600. Rumor has it that the newer 2016 batches have significantly weaker performance and depth than the vintage batches, however while I find this to be true, that does not mean that the performance has to be completely compromised. I tried wearing this in mild-warm weather and found that the projection and longevity increased exponentially.
Finally this, at least in my world, is not the compliment monster that It's made out to believe. I wish it were, however the original L'Homme is a far better compliment getter for me.
I still love the smell of this and will always keep it in my collection for that, however I believe that it's overhyped and was a little disappointed by it in the long run.
