Very good review. The dry down is gold, the opening can be a bit harsh from time to time. Amazing fragrance and a real compliment getter. 10/10

Great review Steven! and yes this is so different from the original L'homme that came out in 2006 which I owned back then and for me, that one was more of a spicy oriental juice whereas La Nuit is more of a cardamom and lavender scent. I love the dry-down on this especially the combination basenotes of vetiver and cedar which I find so smooth and addicting at the end. Btw, I wanted to ask you what your take on the edp version of La Nuit is. Thanks man! ;)

Okay, I was thinking of using Narciso Rodriguez For Him next week for my friend's wedding but you kinda convinced me to use this instead hahahaha! I agree with you in almost everything you said. I absolutely love this scent. I bought two bottles on my first purchase. It's my wife's favorite so far. On the first night I wore this, I got 3 compliments in the first 40 minutes after application.

Can I just compliment you real quick brother? You are a pretty awesome dude. I just saw Carlos' live video with Chris Collins and I just remembered something after he thanked you for something and you said, "You got it!" I remembered how good of a teammate you are. You seem like the type of guy that will be a loyal friend and work partner. Just wanted to say that. By the way, I love La Nuit D'lhomme EDP, but most seem to like EDT better. I know it's been reformulated, but I like the EDP for it's better projection, spiciness and longevity.

This is a new addition to my collection. Just got it today and it was love at first sniff. People in the community are complaining about the reformulation but personally it's still a great scent.

Hi, La nuit de l'homme was my very first serious fragrance in result of a deep search and the best thing I can say about it is that I have a hard time trying to chose another fragrances! To me it stills the best smell I ever get my nose on :)

Great review!!!! Bought L homme back in 2007 and I love the smell and notes of l homme, but wow it’s soooo weak !!!! So with la nuit I stayed away after hearing your review I tried it, and damn it’s awesome and soooo strong!!! Thanks for your great reviews!!!

if you like the EDT then try the EDP, it's a different animal, much more powerful and darker. This is my no1 perfume, but now I got a Thierry Muggler Pure Wood and I think it's even much better than La Nuit

it's definitely a nice fragrance, but it doesn't last long on my skin and even it doesn't projects that long. i live in Bangladesh and the weather here is hot and humid. how many sprays do you recommend as far concerning the weather in my country.

I sprayed this on my arms yesterday around 15:00, woke up today and still smelling the fragrance clearly on my arms at 13:00, will most likely last 24+ hours on me. I have a slight problem with the opening, but the drydown is amazing.

Still one of my favorite smells. It's like a warm soft blanket. It's smells so good I can live with the average longevity (2018 batch). But for it's certainly not a weak fragrance. I can even smell it on my clothes the day after. Projecting is rather weak but it fits the personality of the smell. It doesn't shout and that's fine by me.

Regardless some of the negative comments down below but i still think u r one of the best-along with Jeremy- in this business. please start some review for flankers such as edt vs edp vs intense....i got chocked with Bleu de chanel edp..i used to be fan for bleu de chanel edt last time i tried the edp which might smiling better than the edt but with a very low performance when compared to the great bleu edt

I bought the original when it came out, I smelled la nuit afterwards, it smelled like the original to me but with the added cardamom. I would say buy one or the other.

Great review! I really enjoy La Nuit but performance is an issue for me. I get maybe 6 hours and it sits close to the skin. I do know that I have the reformulated version with the slimmer atomize, and that may have something to do with it.

Lucas Taylor Good info. Opinions on La Nuit differ greatly. Some say it's a beast,others say it's weak, not of much help. Your review made me hold off buying this fragrance for now.This whole "reformulating" thing is quite frustrating ;fragrances that once had a very good reputation (Chanel Blue, La Nuit,Le Male) now have become "watered down" underachievers.

I've owned both EDT and EDP (batches between 2010-2012 I believe) and they're some of my most favorite frags ever. I wish the EDP wasn't so low-sillage and weak-performing compared to EDT, though, because I find the EDP's smell darker, more mature and less synthetic.

I have the reformulated version with the smaller spray nozzle and the bottom of the bottle does not have the 3 stems on it like yours does..I never have smelled the original so I have no idea whether it is good as it should be..

I didn't like this one at first at the store. Maybe I was just sampling too many. But once it dried on my skin, I cannot stop smelling it! Now I like it even more than the two I actually purchased (which pissed me off! haha)--Invictus & Eros. It reminds me of Gucci Rush (though I have't worn that in years), only much better. Just ordered it on Amazon cuz I couldn't resist. I think I must have a thing for Cardamom cuz all my favorite scents seem to have it.

This is an ISO E super(Wood) & Linalyl acetate(Lavander) bomb. Top not is linalool, with sweetness in the heart from caraway seeds, cinnamyl alcohol, and vanillin, a lot of modifiers in the background like cashmeran and coumarin. at the base there is clean musk like Galaxolide , cederly acetate (cedar), and vetival(vetiver), add some nutmeg oil for some spiceness. That's la nuit.

I bought the "edition art" bottle because it was cheaper(50% off for the 100ml). I like the fragrance, but it doesn't seem to last 8-12 hours. I barely get 5-6 hours.

Hey Steven, love the review! I first tested La Nuit de l'homme back in 2016 at Macy's. I loved it! I regret not buying a bottle cause I just tested it again just last week and it smells so different. The performance is much weaker and it doesn't have that nice strong cardamom like it used to. I read online that there have been a few reformulations with 2016 being the last one. Since the one I smelled recently smells so different than the bottle I tested in 2016, I may be safe to say the tester bottle(that I first tried in 2016) may have been 2015(before they reformulated in 2016). Have you smelled the most recent formulation?

I get positive comments all the time when I wear it, from both men and woman. I've read a few reviews about the EDP and people don't seem to like it as much as the EDT, so I think I'll give that a miss and try out the Lumiere Blanche instead.

QBawlZ I like the EDP. I sure wish I could put it up against the original formulation which I haven't ever smelled. But I think the EDP smells a bit spicier and lasts and projects longer. Just my two cents.

Does the barcode on the 3.3 size come on a different side on the box? On mine, the barcode is on the back of the box, not the side. Also, I can't seem to find the batch code on the box only on the bottle. I think I may have bought a fake, what do you think? Thanks!

any thoughts on the reformulated version? to me like it took the "magic" away in this cologne. The dry down is mute and smells like womens lip stick after a while with no clue that cologne was used. The longevity drops an additional to maybe 2 hours.

Not really, had both formulations and I am very experienced with this scent. The smell is the same exactly, still last for 6-9 hours with great 2 hour projection (only with 2-3 sprays) and after that its moderate projection. It's either nose fatigue or just skin issues.

Is the performance of this still great? I'm between buying La Nuit de l'Homme and Dior Homme, but I have heard, that the performance isn't that great anymore, because of reformulations. I love the smell, but I'm a little insecure about this point.

I heard the same thing about the performance. I like the smell of both, and I find them to be quite different. I have a hard time picking one over the other!
