To be honest I can get why, the games really only remained relevant because of ytps and memes of the cutscenes specifically, the actual gameplay left much to be desired.
@@apersoniguess_They still weren't bad, if not judged by the Zelda standards. Even to this day games worse than them are released on modern consoles, like Bakugan Champions of Vestroia for the Switch. At that time certain games were released outright unbeatable or even unplayable on pc so these games are excellent in comparison. They are also some of the best CD-I games, which I understand isn't saying much but still.
The designs for the old CDi weren't that bad, it's just the graphic limitations, weird expressions and bad voice acting made them very ugly. I actually like some the bosses and Zelda's design, which I feel is very much the inspiration for Arzette's look.
I thought the same thing, helps she uses a scimitar instead of a more traditional sword. She's like if you blended Shantae and the CD-i Zelda together.
I can’t explain it, but I’m actually excited for this game and that worries me. Excited to the point where I want to buy it, I hope it’s both fun to play and meme on.
If you haven't played the Zelda CDI remasters, you should give them a try. The games are actually fun to play when there's not bad controls. I said it because Arzette is also created by the same person who remastered the zelda games. They know what they are doing :3
The minion at the end cracks me up, reminds me of those early 2000's dvd adverts where they crop out a character from a movie and have them looped dancing poorly.
Game isn’t even close to out yet, we only have about a minute of footage and within a week I’ve already seen about 12 of these. I’m so proud of this community
One of the things I always kinda liked about the CDI games was how corny the setting was. Yeah, it WAS a bad game, but I think all the outlandish and weird characters in the games WERE intentional.
I finished the game like yesterday and it was such a memorable experience! And this YTP is still as good as it was before the game released. Lovely work there.
I’m pretty hyped for this game and someone HAD to make a YTP of the trailer… but imagine what it will be like when the game ACTUALLY RELEASES! The Spadinner sources (if you know, you know)are gonna get a new member after DECADES. Oh and yeah, that is a nice YTP.👍🏻
