@@ratoh1710 Eria and Ariel are parallel universe versions of each other. Wynn, however, is a dimension hopper and jumped to the Duel World before the wars happened in the Terminal World.
@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 What I meant to say what if a divine beast monster isn’t the one to master all of the attributes? It could be the other attributes. Ignore me I’m talking rubbish
I really wish they would make an anime that revolves around the card lore, rather then people playing the game. It would be one of the most awesome things ever
Pretty sure the story he told us isn’t an official one by any means because the only official story that we actually know about them is from the master guide and it’s just “4 girls bonded with a familiar, they given power to strengthen them, then they all aged and became the cataclysmics”. Their teacher being Doriyado is a story that I’ve heard before, but can never find the source.
@@firewolf950tfwgaming7 I've been told Doriado isn't part of the Charmers lore so I'm still hesitant on what to actually believe. If by chance she is with them, we could hope to see another Doriado retrain as the official link boss monster for the deck
@@IamJerf I’m hesitant to believe she relates because nothing suggests she would apart from elements. The story I’ve heard said she’s the teacher and instructed the 4 base charmers to find Dharc and Lyna who were involved in something. This would sorta explain why those 2 are paired up and not with the whole group, but it sounds more of a fan story to explain the split.
It honestly sounds more Sailor Moon, and Darc seems pretty close to Light, given he can only target her with his effect, while she can target any spellcaster. Wait is the Light Charmer the harem protagonist after all?!
He has both hands.... it’s just always obscured..... because he’s dark...., you know except that one anime only card, but it still shows he has two arms
The thing is Fujiwara Akina basically has free reign over the card lore in terms of art. Konami *does* have a lore team, which handles stuff separately to the artists, and a card stats/effects team separate to the other two. However, since she's the one who draws the art, if Fujiwara imagines Dharc without an arm, that's how she'll draw him. Since the anime has no affiliation with Fujiwara, they don't know if Dharc has his arm or not. It might not be explicitly stated, but I believe as long as they continue to commission Fujiwara Akina for the art of these cards, Dharc will be depicted with one arm, even if Konami or TV Tokyo says he has two.
@@10tailedbijuu She definitely did Dharc and Lyna. Her artstyle is very distinct. The cards you can tell aren't done by her are Blazing Hiita, Raging Eria, Storming Wynn, and Avalanching Aussa. Fujiwara also did the art for all the new card art for the Charmer structure deck, including the alternate artworks and all five tokens, all of which is in her unmistakable artstyle. She's also been continuously providing art for support cards throughout the years, even before the structure deck, such as Wynn the Wind Channeler, the Link Charmers, Unpossessed, and others. Not to mention her work is still prevalent in other cards in the game, such as Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Ghost Ogre's new alternate artwork, Droll & Lock Bird's new alternate artwork.
4:54 When I saw this picture of Winn and Eria, definitely i thought the Charmers has a huge anime/manga potential Fun fact: Every charmer had a RIBBON OF REBIRTH in their coat (the white and blue ribbon around them)
I'm actually tempted to gather all these cards in a binder in order and actually write the story down so as if they can have an image of what's happening while they flip through the binder
If they were anime characters, Hiita would be the tsundere and Aussa the silent/shy one, although that seems to be basing off stereotypes and might attract lawsuits
They do this as general policy, actually. For example - Hyozanryu, meaning "Diamond Dragon", is called "Diamond Dragon" in Japanese, and not "Hyozanryu". So when they translate it, they take the Japanese words for its name and write them as the English card name, essentially maintaining the "this card is using a different language for its name" in how it was designed.
Lol the Avatar the Last Airbender references xD including the intro music I'm really surprised that the official "Spirit Charmers" structure deck has less than half of the cards featured in this video
I've always been a huge fan of the archetype, and the release of their structure deck (along with the global pandemic) actually got me back into Yu-Gi-Oh! Glad to see their continued support and viability.
@@ralsei3554 not only did I imagine the Charmer girls having the generic elemental abilities, they also have abilities that are based off their connections with the familiars or other sorts. Like say Hiita, or rather Kurenai because I would like prefer their name based off the Spiritual Arts traps, not only has fire elemental energy but also has spirit energy and can cast illusions, like Fox Fire. She could transform her staff into another weapon, preferably a bow & arrow or a whip.
There a new story on Wattpad called Yugioh Spirit Charmers Master of The Elements it's just one chapter witch is the MC's Bio but I think it will be good
I hope they give Doriado support that can be incorporated with this archetype. I really like the concept of Doriado (the ritual version), but I haven't been able to do much with her
Exactly how I feel, her effects basically scream Charmer support but she really needs another retrain to actually be able to provide synergy with them like be the boss monster for the deck as a link-3 monster with insane effects involving attribute disruptions, searches, and summons
Both Lyna and Dharc deserves their own structure deck together or at least sharing the same future structure deck with the other charmers. They also deserve to be in some art with the other charmers like we see from the Spirit Charmer Structure Deck.
Forgive me if it's already been said, but I find it interesting that Dharc might be missing his right arm, as it's never seen. And Lynna just so happens to wear a black glove on her own right hand in all her art.
@@10tailedbijuu I wouldn't think so he is a Lizard person Well he does live with Marauding Captain (I think) now so him returning to eria would be kinda awkward for both sides Like how tall is Gagagigo now because of the Mutation?
A fun playstyle with them is with the original 4 with dark doriado beatdown. Its a playstyle that relies on their different attributes to increase their ATK to overcome and overwhelm the opponent and its really fun especially in casual plays. :) (Thank you KONAMI for Eda the Sun Magician). :D
@@CallieBlader yeah but another point is after yugi defeats Pegasus the Story goes to.....we save the World with a children card game.....this ancient beast is reborn as this paper card ....and so on I know its an anime but.....inazuma Eleven makes more sense ....you know....saving the World with football/soccer
@@MercuryA2000 i plan on making a live action 4 part movie series about the duel terminal story line (parts 1 and 2) with some added in stuff/stories in yugioh cards. after that, another 3 movies wrapping up the duel terminal story, and focusing on stories like gagagigo, and buster blader, until i can work my way up to world chalice, which is gonna be live action, but no duelists and just the story unfolding
Honestly this video makes me want to build them. They're far from being competitively viable but I love attribute-based decks and this looks like so much fun
After watching a couple of these it’s insane the connection between these archetypes🤯 Aleister, megistus (soon?), witchcrafters, prophecies, charmers! They all come from the same world. And now what it seem like from this video is that the light and dark charmer will connect with the “Dark” like monsters such as Dark Armed dragon, Dark Creator, Dark Rainbow Dragon etc. His familiar resembles Yubel from that set and her transformations plus Yubel has that perhaps the missing arm! The light may represent all the Lightsworn monsters? Crazy too how Wynn’s sister is winda how that ties into all the other crazy stories connected with those archetypes. I’m blown away truly!
I think of it like a manga and anime focusing on an archetype like for the Charmers we'd see them leaving their home (Wynn leaving the Gusto cus of teen angst) and meeting at the school then they find their familiars they Lyna and Dharc show up then we see the charmers help Wynn save Winda
The charmers were always one of my favorite cards but i always hated how they are almost never complete It also bugs me how the adult forms are arguably the weakest forms
I cant wait till the Chenneler Eria comes out. My Gishki Synchro deck loves her link form due to it's easy water searching and decent disruption if some poor fool is using water monsters.
These were some of my first cards back when it was released back when I was a kid. I got the the structure deck and It brought back a lot of memories. Thx for doing this
Im in the same vote here too. They were the first cards I pulled when I was a kid and because of that I loved them so much and made a really fun deck out of it for many years and then we got the structure deck and I was extremely happy about it
MY FAVORITE SPELLCASTERS!!! I love the Charmers and as a kid I tried to make a deck out of then and their familiars. Note to self: buy the structure deck! Update: I finally got it! Now I just gotta look for the Link Monsters and a few more.
I got 3 of each card from the starter deck for Christmas. Except for the ultra-rares which I got one of (minus the links, Rasnreyu and Gagigobyte) a pleasant surprise to say the least
Charmers were always my pocket Garbage Archtype starting out. I loved them because they were just so bad, but so lovable. Im so happy they got a structure deck.
Still one of my main three decks, so imagine how happy I am with the support this year. Deceptively strong if in the hands of someone that knows what they're doing. (And for anyone curious, the other two are Gladiator Beasts, which has been covered, and Six Samurai, which has also been covered.)
Same, i've stuck by Charmers for a very long time and I always update the deck each format and now with the structure deck I have tried to make countless engines to the deck. I really do hope we get more supports soon to give the deck another push in their strategy. Besides Charmers, I have countless of other decks but i'm heavily running Subterror Numerons, Marincess, Monarchs, Endymions, and soon Sunavalons when they come out soon.
Your videos are the best man 👏👏👏 seriously. You would out do yourself with the duel terminal story. Im gna go ahead and watch just about everything you got. Thanks again 👏👏🙏🙏👏👏
I always imagen them summoning monsters of their attribute representing them taking control of the opponent's monsters but their familiars are their main like Ash and Pikachu
there are a couple of cards you don't show here. Gagagigo / Giga Gagagigo / Gogiga Gagagigo / Gagagigo the Risen pretty much telling the Story of Gigobyte being originally a bad creature until it met Eria, turning it's life around for good. Later it became obsessed with becoming stronger in order to fight evil and lost it's soul in the Process becoming mad and evil itself. Even later with Gagagigo the Risen we can assume that there was some form of redemption for him in the end after all.
I've been waiting for so long for this video to show up. I love the Charmers s much since I was a kid. I can definitely agree that we will get more Charmer supports in the future, I hope its much sooner rather than wait another 3 years for 1 card. I also hope we could get a LART Hiita link for the uncensored version, because why not lol I also have this theory that because Lyna and Dharc are so unique from the elemental Charmers and because their Familiar-Possessed artwork shows them connected to each other as if by fate, we may see them as the potential boss monster as a single Link-3 monsters rather than just be 2 separate generic Link-2s (either that or we get Doriado as a retrained link monster as their boss monster). We would definitely need more spell/trap cards to make the deck more consistent in their strategy, like a continuous trap that acts like a Magician's Left/Right Hand and a Plunder Patroll Booty, a spell to recycle your monsters from the GY to the deck, and a spell that acts like a Monarchs' Stormforth to summon your Possessed/Familiar-Possessed monsters from the deck using one of your opponent's monster as if you control them. There's definitely more ideas I would love to think about for what the Charmer archetype really needs to make the deck seemingly more competitive, I would love to hear other people's thoughts about what they would like as supports for them and for what they think about my ideas whether it is a good or bad thing.
I see you comment on every charmers video Haha. I just bought my deck too. It's very fun to play and is now my favorite. Gonna order the light and dark familiar possessed now
@@indigenoustruthx4828 its my way of sharing my love for the Charmer archetype lol Lyna and Dharc should really get more supports soon because both of them and their pets would really make the deck more fun and have more variety of extensions and combos.
@@Scalesthelizardwizard3399 Agreed, I love all the fanart that depicts them being cute and just having fun together. Like there's one pic of them playing Yugioh together and I love it.
@@nordinreecendo512 The one where Dharc is in the background plays what looks like Dark Souls to me I know that on Charmer fanart Is how I make myself feel better when I'm sad
